Based on the NCAA's APR, Oklahoma isn't any better than other SEC teams when it comes to academics and are actually behind a few.

Per former coach, Barry Switzer, Oklahoma's entry standards are lower than conference rival Oklahoma State's. When a sports reporter asked him why he always won the recruiting wars between the two schools, Switzer replied, "It's easier for the players to spell OU than OSU."

OU academics no secret. Avg sat about 1155, reading and math, or 1550 for all three. Not bad, probably below UF. Article says they want to be academically equal to PAC 10, not that they are. Also says sec got two of their best academic schools last expansion.

So you think a measure put out by an athletic association is a good measure of how good the academics of a university are? Now that is funny.

No one thinks as highly of OU than themselves. They wish they were in the SEC.

Don't kid yourself. They have an open invitation. We expanded to 14 teams, not 16, because we are holding two seats for UO and perhaps OSU (if we must bc they are a package deal).

How did you get that from my post? Are you a moron? Your post hints at it. :headslap:

It is not a good measure for a school's overall academics. It does show you that Oklahoma isn't anything special compared to academically focused schools that scored in the 990's and even had a perfect score. It shows you they are no different than anyone else. So the academic elitism they showed in the article is just the actions of an idiot grandstanding.

We don't need Oklahoma in the SEC we already have Missouri.

I wouldn't mind swapping Mizzou for OU. To me, Mizzou has become nothing more than a drama whore school with Michael Sam leading the way along with the rape cover ups.

I'd also like to see South Carolina take their asses back to the ACC if were to make room for another school.

And throw away a guaranteed win off our schedule for the next 2-5 years (I'm allowing for the possibility that usce is a little slow to figure it out)?

I believe ou is one of the schools who has benefited from recruits who failed to meet UF's admission standards. As for the other SEC schools, well... SOS mentioned something about coloring books a few years ago.

OU is in the Big 12 and the Big 12 admitted WVU. I don't ever want to hear OU and academics in the same sentence again.
