Chillax. No postal workers were referenced in the above post. Nor was the nationalality of said hypothetical people.

Well since this is true, "In 1998, Gricar declined to press charges against longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky following allegations of sexual abuse;" what is everyone who knows Sandusky to do? Do they shun him? Do they accept this prosecutor is correct and there is not enough evidence to charge Sandusky?

Personally, given this fact I am not sure how you claim something Paterno did not do in 1976 matters. Even if the prosecutor was trying to protect PSU, I am not sure what you can do once a prosecutor investigates and does not charge someone. PSU force Sandusky out right after this. I am not sure what else they should have done other than not let him keep an office and a key. I suspect somehow he would have found a different shower.

Still a pedophile-supporting ****hole. Always has been, always will be. The Paterno 'library' probably has a child porn wing.

60 million $, call it Sandusky's rape of Penn State.
Actually that money went to the lawyers and their victims ... err I mean Sandusky's victims.

You keep him the **** away from the university and don't allow him to continue to use the facilities as a means to have access to children. He expoited children that he gained access to through his ties to the university...whether he was charged or not. They knew it and allowed it to go on for decades!

I agree. If you give him the benefit of the doubt it would simply be that he got too old to deal with something he knew was happening. It's too bad but facts are facts. Because he kept silent he deserved what he got...and Sandusky should have his schfonz nailed to a stump among other things.

Besides having sympathy for the victims, I really don't care anything about Penn State or Paterno.

I'd rather talk about Gator Sports or Ham Sandwiches.

The biggest thing here (IMNSFHO) is that someone raised this issue in 1976... over a decade earlier than any other known reports.

All of the coaches go to Paterno after witnessing Sandusky with kids rather than beating his A$$ and calling the police??? Every one of the witnesses should have been in jail for not reporting the crime.

So we know of at least three times that Paterno was told (allegedly). Nothing was really done until after the third offense, and Sandusky was still allow to use the football complex and have an office. What the ****? There have been reports that Sandusky went to bowl games with the team, after he was let go as the coach, and brought boys from his foundation with him (sharing a room) and he stayed with the team at the hotel, so states like Florida (Citrus Bowl or Outback Bowl) and Texas (can't remember the corresponding bowl game) are looking into charges. How deep does the rabbit hole go?

Well, I guess it is convenient to wait until someone is dead before besmirching their reputation. In this case, they waited over four years -- I guess they wanted to be absolutely sure that Paterno wouldn't somehow arise from the grave and confront these quite likely liars.

There was plenty of opportunity when the original story broke for raising issues from previous years. But count on lawyers to figure out how to best cash in, even if it requires waiting a ridiculous amount of time to make the claims.

Years ago, IMO, even non-fans of PSU did not want to denigrate Paterno's legacy -- they wanted
the whole avalanche to fall on Sandusky. The whole child molesting crime was all on Sandusky.
Now folks are unable/unwilling to give that generic protection to Paterno anymore, with this more
accurate history being uncovered by the Insurance investigators. They were proving that the policy
holder PSU's criminal behavior eliminates the insurance company's liability = $60 million.

Now the crimes of PSU were in violating a Pennsylvania state law commanding that mandated
reporters contact directly and immediately State Authorities trained in interviewing child molesters.
The law commands that they be contacted even if so & so think it might just be a rumor. Protect
children first. These interviewers are relentless and can detect the dodges and deceptions child
molesters employ. If PSU's mandated reporters had called the phone # sent annually since 1967
to PSU and all mandated reporter "stations" by Child Protective Services, many/most kids would
have been saved from molestation at the hands of sick Sandusky.

Dentists, MDs, school teachers (all grades), daycare keepers on and on, all professionals coming
in contact with kids, private and state areas are mandated reporters.

How long would it be before you were comfortable telling the world you were ass raped as a child?
