Well since this is true, "In 1998, Gricar declined to press charges against longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry
Sandusky following allegations of sexual abuse;" what is everyone who knows Sandusky to do? Do they shun him? Do they accept this prosecutor is correct and there is not enough evidence to charge Sandusky?
Personally, given this fact I am not sure how you claim something Paterno did not do in 1976 matters. Even if the prosecutor was trying to protect PSU, I am not sure what you can do once a prosecutor investigates and does not charge someone. PSU force Sandusky out right after this. I am not sure what else they should have done other than not let him keep an office and a key. I suspect somehow he would have found a different shower.
