the one time I do remember Cox I think it was more flexing than lining up at linebacker but back in coverage he basically did a pile drive on the receiver. well we were lucky that was not both pass interference AND a personal foul. Good luck playing in the NFL with this skill set, bc he is going to be an OLB there.

I think he sets the edge and plays the run horribly.

And was laughably terrible the one time I remember him in coverage. :)

Other than that... great I guess.

Princely is a beast. And Vogle seems faster than Cox and better at doing what Cox is supposed to do, sack the QB.

Which is why he transferred from UGA.
I love all the excuses and rationalizations made for why he left but the truth is that he wasn’t good enough to get on the field with UGA.

I just wish some would stop praising Mullen for recruiting castoffs.

Cox is better live than when you see him on TV. He is generally a good (not great) pass rusher.
I thought he was pretty good against Bama despite not holding on to that INT. His weakness is
he has a tendency to try to go inside and gets beat to the outside on running plays. He also surprisingly
for a man his size doesn't show great will or desire in striking blockers, even if it's someone he is bigger
than like a tight end. He is tentative using his inside shoulder to maintain leverage. I have no idea if
this is because of fear or if he has injured a shoulder in the past, but similar to our backers there
is some hesitancy in his game. Only his is contact, usually with a man trying to run block him. Whereas
our ILB are often playing a guessing game on where the play is going rather than just doing
their job.

No doubt. Cox is a decent player, not bad but not great.
He can't carry Jon Greenard's jock.

I was going to admit he has blown up a few read options when he is the unblocked EMOL. That he does reasonably well.
