Back in the day I was part of a MMA forum where fighters would post. We tried to get Keith Jardine to do his walk out as the Techno Viking. He got so pissed about it he quit the forum because ppl kept bringing it up.

It was also the golden age of Club Penguin, where then 8 year old Son #1 had screen names of "SlamSack" and "AssWrangler" on Club Penguin because the world was not politically correct/censored quite yet.
As for the Trololo song, Eduard Khil was living in obscurity in Russia when one of his grandkids told him, "Grandpa, you're famous!" because someone had come across that song, posted it to youtube, and it went viral.
