The NFL is struggling for all of the reasons above. If it were just one problem there might be a relatively easy fix. Sailing into four or more headwinds at once is very different. And it will show when the next TV contracts are up. How does one owner fix, boring, over saturation, political problems, and a lack of team identity? I can name three of four more.
An owner might do his bit to fix one or maybe two things for one of 32 teams, but he ain't going to move the needle much. The commish has to figure this out, and come contract time he'll be forced to try. Sometimes it's too late.
