5 years ago we had SIX teams in the top 15 and FOUR top ten teams. Now? We barely have 4 teams in the top 25.

Well, the SEC has Saban. Looks like Kirby and Gus may have real juice as well, and all the other coaches you can shake in a paper bag and they'll all fall out about the same every time - 2nd tier guys that will be firing bait in 3-4 years.

Who has Saban / rabid SEC fans driven off?

Urban Meyer - 2 time national champion
Les Miles - national champion
Gene Chizik - national champion
Mark Richt - 0 time national champion but still solid coach

Who were they replaced by?

Muschamp/McElwain
Orgeron
Malzahn (ok not bad)
Smart (again not bad but still up and coming)

Definitely the coaching level has dropped, which leads to a drop in play across the board once Saban turned the SEC into Bama and the Also-Rans.

Miles, SOS, Richt have almost 500 college wins between them...all gone. Franklin to PSU. Pinkel retired. Ole Miss busted for cheating.

It's been said over and over. Tenn and FL have hired terribly. Hope the next wave is better.
