Think back to the height of MTV and VH1 when bands had a huge production budget just for a 3 minute music video. Some of them really were terrific and memorable.

Mark Knopfler went the other route because he said, "We aren't attractive guys, we're musicians." That's how we got the "Money for Nothing" video... but this is my favorite "no Dire Straits guys in the video, video", and one of my favorite songs and videos...

By the way, (speaking of The Police)

When I got to UF in the summer of '82, there were stories/urban legend type stuff that The Police did an impromptu ..."just unloaded their stuff and performed" near Lake Alice.
Do any of you 'old-timers' like me who were in G'ville in the late 70's/early 80's remember something like this?
Or was it just BS?
