It’s a new day and cooler heads will need to prevail here in this thread. I think we were all a little grumpy yesterday. Besides, it’s Wednesday. What’s the worst that could happen today?

It's hard to believe that through 2-1/2 pages and no one had mentioned these two bands...

Dude!
Given the fact that I had a crush on Jeannie as a 15 year old ... I am ashamed I didn't bring this up.
Heaven's Just a Sin Away and Pittsburgh "Stealers" were my jams...

And were the Bellamy's Pasco or Hernando county boys?

There was actually an episode about this on VH1's "Behind the Music"... said they were awesome, and poised for greatness... until Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme took over lead vocals... the band spiraled from there and this all became a Paul Harvey episode of "The Rest of the Story"

Never heard of the Kendall's but I had one Bellamy Bros tape that I played on repeat back in the 80's.
80s…”tape”…”repeat”… :scratchchin:

Did you mean “rewind” or flip the cassette over and ff as some players were notoriously slow rewinding compared to fast forwarding? Also, your testimony didn’t specify that “Let Your Love Flow” was the targeted tune. Had to be. There were ostensibly no other Bellamy Bros “hits”

You flip the tape over and over and over and never have to rewind.

Obviously you are not a fan of the Bellamy Brothers and their greatest hits such as, If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (would you hold it against me?) or Redneck Girl. Classics. :shakehead:

Full confession…I had a Bellamy Bros cassette. Sadly, it never made it to my awesome cd collection. But I also must admit to enjoying “Beautiful Body” as most red-blooded Gadsden County males of my era did

And @Nalt …bite me

If we are judging on looks, then I yield to the Castellows (musically they aren't that talented)

Talent wise, I've never heard such beautiful harmonies as the Issacs (Southern Gospel) can belt.....

"What a coincidence that the winning prize money in the talent show is exactly the same amount of money that our parents wedding anniversary silver platter costs!"

and

"Wow! We just randomly got offered a recording contract with Mike Curb!"

I’ll take cheesy plot lines like this over woke non-sense any day.
