The only thing I know about Zaire is he's thrown 98 passes since HS, been injured and can't beat out guys at Notre Dame.
And our Coach is telling him all our QB's suck in order for him to want to come here.
Yay.
So I assume you're mortgaging your house on Kizer's NFL MVP trophy? The guy he couldn't beat out was a second round pick. Context helps.

Or did you already do that with Golson's career?
He is right. And our Coach is telling him all our QB's suck
I totally agree with you. But that is not my point. My point is that when a coach (and in Mac's case, a self-proclaimed QB guru) must rely on transfer players rather than developing his own players makes me believe that he is not capable of recruiting and developing players from the ground up. And again, it is a moot point unless Zaire actually becomes a Gator. Transfer players can fill very important roles on a team, including, as you point out, a higher level of competition among team mates. But very few top programs rely on transfers to be successful year in and year out.But competition develops players, or at least I hear that at every other position, so why is QB different?
I could have sworn you just declared Kizer a great QB because he was drafted in the second round.logical conclusion you jumped to there
And that tells me everything I need to know about our QB situation. He is right.

Well, Chip Kelly is going to be working at ESPN next season and he is a winner coach that I would be 1000% behind if we hired him to replace Mac. The issue is Mac winning the East twice in his first two seasons will get at least a 4th year...Remember there is competition and the Gators due to many factors are behind other programs in getting the best QBs. It will take time and a lot of work to get us back to a mostly favored position with the top players, continually changing systems and coaches won't get this done unless we could attract a total winner coach. I don't see that as even possible.
Johnny Manziel was a first round pick. How did you possibly get that from my factual statement that Kizer was a second round pick?
Johnny Manziel was a first round pick.
What's your point? I was just making a factual statement. And he was a phenomenal QB in college that would have started over 99% of the QBs in the country. What's your point?
