BTW the Ragin Cagin QB so many are trashing as an awful passer will leave the school as it's 3rd all time passer in yards and 2nd with 54 TD's, boy he sucks, right!
Yeah, we watched him and he sucks.

Youre just a stat reader apparently.

SOS was about 65/35 in the first half, run up the score and then 35/65 in the second half to kill the clock
Right. Pass first which opens up the run. If they start dropping safeties into the box innthe second half, punish them.

“We’re going to build the best football program in the SEC conference.”

Does anyone call it the NFL league?

Yeah I caught that as well. What's interesting is that he repeated that line with several other variations. So it wasn't that he misspoke. It just wasn't proofread, or it's how he wanted to state it.

To me, it was enough to fire him and escort him out right there. Some things are just instant deal breakers.

That’s what I was thinking, but I didn’t want to rush to judgment.

*sigh* Napier is the first coach we've hired, since Spurrier, that I actually like as a person. I really don't want to get invested in what he's trying to build because I know the chances of it working in the time frame he's going to be given is small. So, I can tell my objectivity is probably going to take a hit over the next couple of years. I really want him to succeed not just for the gators but because I think he's a genuine good man.

I find myself wanting to follow Georgia's lead and spray Hope in the face with mace.

The pearl-clutching stuff is so irritating.

Napier: "I think there's too big of a focus on stars."

:ohnoez:

"He's a two-star guy! He's Muschamp! Eeeeeek!"

At least tune in to reality.

Just offering my take. It's obviously not a welcomed take; noted.

The school has made three straight disaster hires - one of which was made by the guy making this one. I'm not positive but I also believe he's the same guy that gave McShark an extension. I think at least a little skepticism is warranted.

I'm working with his record (good), what I've seen of his play calling (not much - but didn't wow me) and this press conference. I'm not jumping for joy but overly discouraged either. I'm happier about this one than I was about Christmas Vacation, Butters, or Chump - even if that isn't saying much. I think he could be good - but he's more like Saban in personality than SOS. I'm not sure how that will play with this fanbase especially in what I expect to take at least a couple of seasons to fix.

Anyway, Merry Christmas, Ox.

This hire isn't anything like the last three, can't you tell? There's a completely different aura about it - it truly is a new beginning of Florida football. Stricklin is going to give the guy one seriously long rope.
