meh...it more likely that there's no middle ground with you and your takes.

Majority of youze guys only focused on the high ceiling we all saw when he sparingly got playing time last season while dismissing the fact that there really was not a lot of game time to see his whole range. He got over hyped because of it and yall started building a statue next to Spurrier, Danny and Tim. Maybe just maybe AR isn't as good (yet...or ever) as he was hyped to be nor is he as bad as some of you are professing he is today. Maybe he is just a young player who needs some time for the game to slow down for him and he realizes he needs another season for that to happen. I bet he comes back next season and we see a bump in his play due to having a year under his belt as the starter and in this system. I bet we see a bump across the board of this team for the same reasons.
Solid
I’m as guilty as anyone on the board.
After the Utah game, I was sure he was on his way to Stardom and top five Heisman consideration.

Embarrassing actually.

Hell, I never gave his in-experience a second thought, thought he was right there with Danny and Tim.

The reality is, Danny struggled as a Freshman , Tim played a situational role his Freshman year, but won a Natty.

I don’t know where AR’s head is.
My opinion is, he should come back next year and compete.

These days, most players go for the cash.

Ahhhh, so there really is a middle ground. Thanks.

Maybe we were premature in our evaluation. AR and the playbook are growing together. That's a good thing.

So does he declare early or decide he needs another year of polish?

He’s playing well no doubt. Just needs to hit guys who are open more consistently.
I do like that he actually became a run threat on the option plays Sat and it opened up the run game.

Some people on the radio that are supposed to be “in the know” claim he’s leaning to declaring for the draft. He’s still got a 1st round grade I believe. If he closes the season out strong, I think it’s probably a certainty he’s gone. I still think he’d benefit from another year in school, but I can’t see him turning it down if the 1st rd is likely.

Shane was very complimentary of AR on today’s show. Said it was his best game, which I don’t think many can argue with. Also said A&M had the best facilities of any school he’s seen by a mile.

There are two ways to look at that, including the bird in the hand approach you refer to.

The other angle is the additional rookie contract money he could command if he entered the draft as a more accomplished passer. Something to consider.

We don’t know his family situation, hard to stay in school when you know you got first rd money waiting for you.
I think he should come back but I’d be shocked if he returns.

If we were loaded with talent and he thought, he might be able to lead us to a NC he may consider it.

Monumental to our outlook on next season. While I expect our defense to be much improved (only place to go is up lol), OL to be solid, and skill players to be elite, I do not feel good about our QB situation if he leaves.

Kitna - extremely unproven, low rated recruit
Miller - stinks

Recruiting has us with a high 3/low 4 star commit who can’t win in HS

Wonder if Napier would go after a transfer QB…

With all due respect, Shane just got out of the can. He probably walks around ALDI in amazement right now.
