Yeah, our hitting sucked, but 81 had it right last night. When we have to swing because the zone is everywhere and they didn't have to.

You have been saying that almost all year and you have been spot on. And as the tourney began LSU started getting pitching from guys other than Skenes, and if that is the case they are a very difficult out b/c they hit top to bottom. Like all sports baseball has ebbs and flows, yet it is not always easy to build on momentum when you grab it. Last night LSU could have easily been in total control halfway thru the game, but some timely pitches and decent D kept us in the game. We needed to really pounce when BT homered and get more runs, but it was not to be, for a myriad of reasons that have been discussed here. I think it is clear LSU is a bit better than UF top to bottom and their only weakness was pitching behind Skenes. If we can't get to that it is going to be a tough task.
Man I dropped a few F Bombs in a good way after that BT homer, I was convinced that was the ballgame. My mind is right again after sleeping. This is certainly doable, lets Go Gators

I’m with @Durty South Swamp . We gave that pitcher all those strike outs because we lack discipline at the plate. We swing for the fences.

How many SO would he have had if we simply went to the plate with our bats on the shoulder the whole game? Our hitting coach clear dialed up a strategy to Take the first 2 pitches, no matter what, and then swing freely. How many time were we in the hole 0-2 after 2 pitches and the swing at eye level crap?

Again, what if we bunted more? Halter’s bunt was perfect. Did it’s job then back to swinging for the fences.

It's the same strategy as living-or-dying by the 3-point shot in basketball.

This paragraph says it all..

Waldrep can be as good as he has been but the Florida offense will need to find itself. The Gators are batting just .214 (30-140) in Omaha. The top three batters in the lineup are hitting just .154 (8-52). The Gators have gotten contributions from a couple of unlikely sources in the run to get here, but on the brightest stage you need your biggest stars to shine.

Reports are we will be seeing gusts up to 40MPH out of the field, if we bring any power, balls are going to be flying out of the park this afternoon

We never adjusted to the high heat last night and LSU took advantage of the only 2 mistakes Fisher and Neely made....having said that, it's quite astounding we have made it this far essentially without Kurland, Langford and especially Cag....now let's see what we are made of today

Swinging at ball 4..leave 2 stranded on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Still swinging at high fastballs out of the zone. Not a good start..
