You’re probably right, but I could see something happening sooner if the right situation arises. Just like Machen was integral in orchestrating the absolute necessity of the Zook firing because of his connections to Meyer, I could see Sasse having no trouble making a move if a promising situation presented itself.

Two years seems absolutely crazy to me but it’s hard to argue that what we’re seeing is anything different than Willie at FSU.

I'm assuming if he does hire an OC he will also back away from the gameday decisions.

If he appoints an assistant to also be ST coordinator (which he can do today) there would be a positive change. (ie don't field the punt inside the ten but DO field the punt (fair catch) on high punts), assure 11 on the field, don't jump into the shield (which I didn't know was a thing... candy a$$ rules now)

He seems like a control guy when it comes to his offense. Not sure he can let go but, we can hope. Because this is not working.

That fake punt from Kentucky’s own 10 yard line or so… Was one of the worst special teams coverage plays I’ve seen in a lifetime of watching football… There was no back up there… You have to expect anything, and they just whiffed

When you hear comments like what he said about fans not knowing what they’re talking about,he’s telling you what the downside is in his eyes. He would basically be saying he was a wrong and those people were right. He’s not going to do that, and certainly not willingly. As I said earlier, we could force his hand at the close of this season. But do we even really want someone like that? I don’t. Minus a complete overhaul in mentality and a major show of humility, his time here is in the final hours. And good riddance.

I'm going to assume, that by the end of the season, he sees he needs an OC. Not just any OC, a young, mover shaker. And I'm going to assume he'll let that new OC run the offense.

If he doesn't hire an OC, then he'll get fired after the 2024 season AND we'll have a pretty bad 25 class. (at least on the offense side). I'm not going with that right now.

Not that many operation people make it to C-level. The reason? They can't back away from the day-to-day. And if they cant... they fail.

I'm probably one of the biggest Meyer haters out there, but I'd take him back today over what we have now. No hard feelings and put him in the ring of honor.

Personally, I really don’t. We’re just glossing over the bigger issues if we do, and he’d simply be buying himself more time. Market doesn’t care where you own it. A bad trade is a bad trade, and he’s proving to be one. Bandaid rip needs to happen sooner than later.

It’s funny how he makes it seem like ignorant fans on the internet are the only ones questioning him. Palmer and the other guy were both completely confused on his logic with the 2-point try, even mentioning that “if you don’t get it, you’re now down 3 scores”. And yet if it weren’t for the review of RP’s TD, and the extra 2 minutes to do the equation in his head(“gotta borrow from your neighbor and make that a 2, now that becomes 10-3…”) we absolutely would’ve gone for it. If there was no other moment today that displayed his blatant incompetence, that was it.

Yes. That was messed up. You don't go for two points there, not just because the numbers don't add up, but at that point in the game, we had momentum. Don't risk a letdown by missing the 2 pointer.

I find myself wanting to make excuses for him. (overwhelmed) I think part of it is I don't want to start over... again.

I'm holding out until the off-season. Good things will come.
