I love you're humor and all, and you're easily in my top 100 posters, but are you making fun of the overall ineptitude of our athletic department or of the hire?
Because, IMO, if this hire was managed by Sasse then this does portend to be the end of Scott Stricklands tenure, and eventually Billy's too. If managed by Scott then this is a band-aid, much like Billy's hire of Will.
I would think y'all would be ecstatic.

This doesnt sound like something within tater's org structure but instead outside and above it, or at least adjacent. If what it appears to be is accurate, this is a power move that could result in stricklinds eventual ouster. And we all know tater will not be long behind him.

I will be looking to see where and who this person reports to. But have a strange feeling it would be to the AD. But then again, the feeling could be just explosive gas.

even if it is reporting to the AD, it sounds eerily close to what the AD and his existing staff are already supposed to be doing? In a nutshell, it sounds like exactly what their job descriptions are in terms of purely football support.
I really think this was pushed externally and little scotty has no choice but to go along with it.

IMO its an upgrade. Qe have a softball player and an accountant running the show over there. They view "all sports as equal" even when only 2 sports make a profit and one of the two BARELY makes a profit in good years.
It would be great if he were AD in waiting and Swishy Scott got the axe in late September.
