So you come to a kicker thread to b*tch about the recruits on defense???
You can see the whole thread? You can't read? Your drive by one liners are too fast. Read dude. He asked a question so I answered it.

Read. That's not too much to ask.

He only asked because you were here b*tching about the recruits. If you weren't here, then he wouldn't have asked.

Sebastian Janikowski was just a soccer player (and also a good one) who had never played football and he turned out pretty good. He did kick in high school his senior year. I don't follow semiholes, he was a local soccer player whom my son played against.

In my opinion, he was, and remains, a horrible human being. The worst of what college athletics has to offer. He liked to get drunk and beat people up. A lot.

He got away with it because football players in Tallahassee were untouchable. The bar managers knew who they were, the bouncers knew who they were, and the local cops knew who they were. Not to mention all the fans willing to look the other way (or worse, blame the victim for "starting it").

I have nothing but contempt for that despicable human being.

This back and forth isn't necessary. I was actually talking about the kid never kicking in a game before. Kinda odd.

This back and forth isn't necessary, but you continue to help keep it going? No, you were here to complain about another recruit like you have been for the past few months.

';m putting myself in time out but to answer your question...I was looking for some studs on the interior and obviously playmakers where ever you can get them. Who knows...this could end up being a great class but it lacks major talent. What more do you want me to say? Are we in play for any top DTs? I'm actually more worried about the defense than the off.

Did the last four years teach us nothing? How many times did our 4 and 5 star recruits get their asses handed to them by a bunch of 2 and 3 stars from the likes of Vandy, Mizzou......hell even D2 Georgia Southern. If anything, these past four years has shown us how close the talent gap really is with these players and that COACHING and PLAYER DEVELOPMENT is the number one factor in determining success.

I'm not saying I don't want a team full of 5 stars, I do. But we have to be realistic about where we are and how little depth Mac had to work with. We need depth and Mac has to fill holes on the depth chart with talented players who are (a) coachable and (b) fit his system. I'm sure he'll have the luxury to be a little more selective in years to come, but that is simply not a luxury we have right now; and it would be naive to think otherwise.

In Malo's defense, I sometimes create new threads because I don't know that they're stickies as well. The stickies are in a different part of Tapatalk.
Thank you J

Yes he is and always has been a turd. He was while playing soccer in high school. Always seemed like he was above everyone else. Fit right in at SOW. He and Pineiro hopefully only have a powerful leg in common.

No problem at all. I'm not familiar with Tapatalk at all. Downloaded it once and didn't like it. Plus this new site works like a dream on my mobile anyway.

Is coaching and PD important? Yes. I really think that when talent is equal then coaching really matters. And you'll see some bad coaches lose to lesser talented teams. I agree. But when you are talking Saban, Miles etc. The big boys...you need TALENT AND COACHING. You probably aren't outsmarting Saban so having a huge talent gap makes it that much harder to beat him. Did you see these numbers:

Bama has recruited 48 - FORTY EIGHT 4 & 5 stars over the last 3 years
FSU - 41 4/5 stars
UF - 28 4/5 stars

You can hate me all you want but it doesn't change those numbers. Throw in some injuries and you have 3 star John Doe going up against 5 star stud guy. You can spin it however you feel but you need TOP NOTCH talent to win the SEC. Would you at least agree on that?
