Oh, this is bad.....as in really bad.

It depends on what one looks for in a QB. I think Ackerman likes pure pocket passers. From that perspective, Trask is the better talent. But this is college, not the NFL. Therefore I prefer athletic quarterbacks that are dual-threats. Quarterbacks like a Tebow or Newton can dominate. Franks can be one of those guys.

From the article
McElwain thinks Ahmad Fulwood has stepped up as a leader among WRs after some rough years. More competitive, tough. #Gators
Crap I would hope so. He should've done that two years ago.

Better late than never. I doubt he contributes a ton this year but he has the potential. He could be an all American with his size and speed if he could just put it together.

Fulwood better pull it together fast...or he will be on the outside looking in once again. Things are going to get real interesting once Tyrie gets in Gainesville

I don't think Tyrie will start. Just because we still have Callaway, an upperclassman in Fullwood, and young talented freshman in Swain and Hammonds who get both full summer and spring workouts.

But he is so damn talented and so fast I think he challenges for a starting position by the end of the year.

I agree 100% especially if the oline is inexperienced. This isn't to say I want a QB who's going to be taking off before at least checking a couple of reads. It takes a special almost 6th sense that not a lot of guys have. For all of Driskels athletic ability he often panicked and when he did run it was usually right into a defender. Sadly Grier seemed to have that ability but it seems that ship has sailed.

I don't mind a QB who can run some, but I want a damn QB, a guy who can read defenses, go through progressions, hit all or most of the throws, not a RB who can throw a little re Driskel, Murphy and Harris.

Uh-oh Law.................

“Cam (Dillard) is a guy that I think has picked things up with the O-line,” McElwain said.
With Dillard out, redshirt freshman T.J. McCoy was expected to get extensive reps at center.
“It will be good to see McCoy in there at center,” McElwain said. “I think he's had a really good spring up to this point and this will be a good test for him.”

I wonder what happened to Tyler Jordan - I thought he was slated to be the next center? Hopefully he's impressing at one of the guard spots instead.

They are moving guys around to see what they can do. Franks and Trask were running with the ones. I'm anxious to hear how they did. Jordan will be one of the starters and if he isn't that means someone better beat him out which is a good thing.

Tyler has spent a lot of time at guard during spring practice.

Massey's listed on the roster at 5'9" and 183lbs - Powell 5'9" and 184lbs
https://floridagators.com/roster.aspx?path=football

Don't know if that's official or not though.

The 150 pounder that I was thinking about was Burnett. Massey's hight is still surprised me when I saw the official since all the sites had him at about 6'. But you're right. If he's about the same size and he's faster then he may be a better fit.

Slot? Over Powell?
I've never quite adapted to the post-Zook belief that we must pretend that any receiver or back with 400 yards or more is some an established productive guy.

I guess I'm still an offensive junkie and refuse to embrace 1950s football like the rest of you.

I guess this is some kind of jab at me. But I'm not sure what this means.
