Your right. If it's true they were calling then great. If they weren't calling then that my friend is Selling with a capital S.

I guess my thing is that if there are legit coaches calling then what are we waiting for? Interview them and hire one so that we give our OL recruits/potential recruits a name and a face for who they will be playing for.

To me it looks bad either way; if all these coaches want the job and Mac is dragging his feet then it's just plain incompetence. If he is just selling it to the recruits then it looks like we are headed towards a bottom of the barrel hire after NSD which I am more inclined to believe. Get the guys signed then go to Idaho and steal their OL coach after it's too late for the players to back out of their commitment

Well, yea, that's the point. I assumed the quote from the recruit saying that legit coaches were calling was accurate. If it was a set-up by Mac (calls from his intern) then we (The UF Program) is in deep Sh*t.

Great find!

“He was just telling me that whoever is going to be the coach is going to be a great coach,” he said on McElwain’s message about the offensive line position. “He said that the coach will get me better and help me get to the NFL.”

While McElwain and Moore were eating dinner the Gators head coach had his phone ringing with coaches wanting the position and that put the lineman’s mind at ease.

When we were sitting down coach was telling me about the all of the NFL guys that are trying to get the job and that are calling him,” Moore said. “The Saints, Chargers, and Giants coaches were calling him trying to get the job. So whoever it’s is going to be a great person and I’m not worried about who it will be.”
Mac just moved up a notch in my book if hes getting kids to believe that.

If only I was. I'd still likely have less brain damage from whatever caused the head trauma, than what damage Foley has done to my emotions for 7 years (not to mention the times I've alienated people from my superlative cursing displays when I watch Gator Football with company. "Company" is slowly dwindling to my dog.
Just turn it off.

You know you want to. I feel the same way.

You're lucky. My dog stopped watching with me about 3 years ago.

You left the most blastphemous, at least to some around here, part of that article out:

Spivey said:
“Coach Nuss is just funny, he’s real cool and funny,” Moore said of Nussmeier. “He’s a great person to be around and he’s just a good dude. He was telling me that I could play tackle or guard depending on where they need me. He said that he likes my size and my ability to move around. He’s just ready to get me down there because they need guys like me.”

From SEC Country:

Clemson, UGA, USCw, and Oregon have been hitting up RB commit Malik Davis

Now the Clemson Tigers, fresh off their national title, are coming after UF pledge Malik Davis (Tampa, Fla.).

“Clemson came by my high school,” Davis told SEC Country. “They told my coach they need another back and they’re interested in me.”

On that same day, Florida also sent area recruiter Chris Rumph and running backs coach Tim Skipper to see Davis.

“They showed up and found out Clemson was at the school trying to talk to me,” Davis said. “Coach Rumph shot me a text and goes, ‘Don’t make me have to put the paws on you.’ That was pretty funny.”

Fortunately for Rumph, Clemson was not able to get its paws on Davis. His coach at Jesuit, Matt Thompson, would not let the Tigers speak to his record-setting running back.

“My coach believes that if you commit, you’re done,” Davis said. “Georgia has also been by the school and Southern Cal called. Oregon offered, too. It’s flattering that colleges are still recruiting me, but my coach tells them I’m 100 percent committed.”

UGA commit talks Gators

SEC Country first reported Tuesday that McElwain visited Georgia defensive tackle commit Devonte Wyatt.

After sitting down with McElwain, the 3-star prospect from Decatur, Ga., spoke with SEC Country about their meeting.

“It went great,” Wyatt said. “I got to see him at my house. We talked for an hour about the network at Florida and the opportunities that I’ll have there with academics and my football career.

“They’re very thin on defensive tackles. They’re losing someone to the first round this year and most of their defensive linemen get drafted high. It’s real special that I have a chance to play early there and if I do well I can make it to the NFL.”

A path to the pros is not the only reason Wyatt has interest in the Gators. He believes they’re on the brink of a breakthrough season.

“Florida is the next school up to win a championship,” Wyatt said. “They have a good program and great coaches, so it’s only a matter of time.”

Wyatt visited South Carolina last weekend, will take a trip to Georgia this weekend and then visits Florida on Jan. 27. Despite he pledge to the in-state Bulldogs, he plans to make a final decision on National Signing Day.

“Things are up in the air because there’s a lot going on,” Wyatt said. “I’m trying to process everything and think about where I want to go. It’s going to be a hard decision.”

This is key right here! Our coaches need to pull some elite talent or we will not compete.

Love that he is wearing the Gator shorts while getting a visit from another school!

Yup, found it hilarious. Shorts and sandals.

He's either trolling us or the other schools hard lol.
