It's like ground hog day. I feel like I heard this the last time we hired a cheapazz directional school DB coach. Remember when they were pimping Kirk Callahan was the recruiting mofo who was going to set things straight and lockdown the bay? Good times.

Another thing to think about with the OL hire is why in the world couldn't be have been announced before signing day and helped with recruiting?

Announcing this hire wouldn't have helped recruiting.

He was Shannon's b!tch at UM with Nevin Shapiro? Sounds great. Not to mention all his ties are south florida. SHannon already recruits that area. Bell is a D+ hireat best.

Shannon recruits that area yet all the "truly elite kids" are going to Bama,FSU,Clemson,Ohio state,etc...Us hiring Bell/Seider and having Shannon should be able to stop alot of that. They'll own South Florida like coke did in the 80's!

Another thing to think about with the OL hire is why in the world couldn't be have been announced before signing day and helped with recruiting? Were we really concerned with letting him finish recruiting at North Texas? Could North Texas really have that big of a buyout that we couldn't pay it?

I think it points more to the fact we were either getting turned down by all our choices or too cheap to get them. So either Mac knew this was his man but he wouldn't help much with recruiting because he was such a fallback type guy, or he hadn't even gotten far enough down the list yet to get to him by signing day.

First we had to wait for our lowball offers to good coaches to be rejected before settling on our plan c guys.

From what I'm hearing about bell is that he's/he'll be a great recruiter in SOFLA. No idea about Davis but god damn those salaries make you wonder wtf we are really doing.

I'm ok with Bell for now, I've read positive stuff about him. Davis is the real head scratcher. I'm just really holding out hope he is more of a Nord replacement than the lone OL coach to replace Summers.

Smh... yeah he is such a great coach and hot recruiter in THE state that everyone wants to recruit that ....he is sitting on staff of a directional school.

Im so over this. We just keep following the Fooley plan to low budget football.
