Larry Dupree was a badazz. Larry Smith, too. Nat Moore came out of nowhere. Was driving a truck in Miami playing basketball for Miami Dade Jr college. Wasnt even in the first program. Then is All SEC back that year. My picks are Johnell and Neal ANderson.

By the way, Larry Smith died in a Panama City Veterans Home a couple of weeks ago.

I think Ken Norton Jr was as LB in those UCLA clips..BTW the QBs he played with in those games make the ones we had recently look like all sec. We had no passing game. The other teams KNEW he was coming and still could not really stop him. Had HE PLAYED for SOS his sr year he averages easily 10 yards a carry.

How did Dooley not mention it in the paper. Larry was very famous. Played for the Rams I think. Famous long run in Orange Bowl. I have to look it up.

As one who never thought Tim Tebow could ever be a QB in the NFL, he was in fact a great college QB. He stats speak for themselves, however I was one who said Tebow was inaccurate as he77, regardless of his completion %. He thru a lot of slip screens and shovel passes that helped his %, but how many slip screens did he put at Brandon James feet causing James to lose his balance? How many WR screens did he throw to the incorrect shoulder causing the WR to spin around and lose momentum? Again Tebow was a great college player but was never an accurate passer on a consistent basis.

Not named Emmitt Smith or perceived to be Percy Harvin, mainly because he re close an from the slot.

Not best but rather most dangerous. That'll at least make everyone think a little through their Rubik's Cube.
I put C4. Him and Fred are close. I just liked the way Fason hit it, gone.

We've had this conversation before Coach. More than once. It's John L. Williams, NOT Johnell Williams.

Also, Williams played fullback while Anderson split time with Lorenzo Hampton at tailback. Both Anderson and Hampton were first round picks and were considered comparable players (both 27th overall picks, one in 85 the other in 86). Hampton was a bust in the NFL and gets no love.

Was Nat Moore a RB or slot guy for UF? I honestly don't know. If he was a RB, then I effed up by not including him.

Nat was a RB at UF, drafted by the Dolphins and converted to a WR in the NFL.

As a junior college transfer, he didn't have a long UF career, but he was an explosive, dynamic back.

I damn sure ain't Demps, but that run against Kentucky is maybe the most awesome display of speed on a football field I can recall.

I remember Rainey having a wild run at Arkansas in 2008 where he had about 4 defenders closing in on him right in the middle of the field, but when they dove to tackle him he wasn't there. It was similar to Ike's stop & run vs. F$U in the NCG, but in this case he was 7 yards past the line. He spun out & zipped away and scored a 75-yard TD. As I recall an OL change was made due to injury that turned out to really settle the line for the NC run.

Also remember a 70+ yard TD run by John L. Williams vs. Miss St. (I think) where he literally ran through almost every defender & a couple of them twice, breaking 9-10 tackles.

Doug Dickey was desperate one year and georgia was the next game, he put his best athlete at running back, Wes Chandler. He had a great game and we beat the pups, what an athlete, he could do anything.

I concur under the OP inquiry of dangerous... give that man no space or blink your eyes... he'd could take it to the house on you. His style of toe breaking his in your face runs to the zone are etched in my mind... Arkansas champ game brings a warm smile to my face.
:hahaha:
