Chimp left a defense; what has Mac left?

The title says it all. What has Mac left for the next coach? Maybe the young defense could come around, but didn't see it today. Think we need a complete rebuild.

Less talented players on defense.

He left nothing. His offensive recruiting matched Chimp's--almost exactly same number of vluechippers-- and the defense is shyt for years to come.

But we should only expect a slight drop off on defense. That's what we were told...a lot.

A scar, and not the one from where, as @oxrageous stated, his ouster removed a wart (I'd argue a boil) from the ass of the Gator Nation.

I started this thread to confirm that nothing much was left for the next coach. But suppose the question is taken seriously, is there anything we can name that the new coach can look forward to? David Reese? Marco? Davis if he heals? Anything? I don't think any of the coaches qualify-- need to clean house and build a new culture.

He left a team with no passion, no sense of direction, no football iq on either side imo, no players that really stand out. I dawg friend of mine made a great point, name a player that would start on their team, and go......... only one on both sides of the ball we could think of was a healthy Cleveland. Thats just terrible! 10 years ago you could have at least names 12 players that would start on their team. Mac was almost the death penalty for our program. This is a make or break hire this go around, the next coach better at least be able to recruit at an elite level or we won't dig ourselves out of the hole.

We have a few good pieces, but not a core we can build around.

Alex.
