Mississippi State has already hired a coach. Joe Moorhead offensive coordinator under James Franklin at Penn State. I don't expect anything great under this guy at Starkville although he was impressive in his introductory press conference.

While at WSU, the Pirate has lost to East Washington (twice,) Portland State, Rutgers, Nevada, and also lost every season opener until finally beating a tough Montana St team this year. He is 6-15 against ranked teams, all of whom were from the PAC12.

His offenses at WSU ranked #32, #18, #25, #7, #54 and #96.

He has never won a outright conference title in either the PAC12 or BIG 12 (tied for 1st in '08.)

Lastly, Butters beat him in a 2013 bowl game.
