Rumor, how many incorrect rumors do people need to not believe them until real evidence is in play.

They should bring back that dude who asked Jimbo about loyalty at their radio show earlier this week.... the one they kicked/shoved out... and kiss his freaking ass.

Taggart turned us down, I don't know that he would be interested now. FSU is in a better position as far as the roster, but that's about it.

Did I miss when we actually engaged Taggart in anyway?

Jimbo was 10-10 last 20 while loaded with blue chippers. If he didn’t figure out a way too keep Jameis on the field he would be without his 1 NC and 2 ACC’s. Average coach who lost his locker room. Players only meeting today that decided they would not play if Jimbo coached tomorrow. Lots of distraction going on. Man did less with more than any coach in the country and his staff was horrible.

I actually think FSU is better off without him, but hopefully they hire a dud. Jimbo was 7-1 against us and pulled in top 5 recruiting classes with ease. Whoever they get will probably be a better coach but I doubt they will match those results.

I don't disagree... this year is a great example. You have a ton of 4 and 5 star recruits at every position and are fighting to make a bowl game because your QB got injured?

Not sure what any of this has to do with my comment back to the guy who said Taggart turned us down.. .

@ZachDeanDBNJ: The best part about this whole FSU saga is that the Noles have a game tomorrow that they rescheduled just to possibly be bowl eligible. And now they don't have a coach. Hollywood couldn't have written better dramas than #FSU and #Tennessee gave us this week

At a minimum it should help our recruiting this year. Even if they hire Taggart it is going to take at least a week to get that finalized.

He played Florida during one of the worse almost decade of coaching, Jimbo is a 4 loss coach. Just think if he had to play against Spurrier in the 90s or Meyer in the 00's. Instead he got the last year of Meyer, Muschamp, and McElwain.

It would be a cherry on top of this sundae if F$UCKS goes to their 3rd or 4th option as HC

I believe right after McElwain was fired his name was among those mentioned as possibilities. He was quoted as saying his son asked him if they were going to have to move again (back to Florida) and he said "no way". Speculation was that his agent put that out there to increase his bargaining power with Oregon. I can't imagine that UF got to a point of interacting with him about the position.

Somehow I doubt Nick Saban is worried. I'm not entirely sure that Fisher is really an upgrade from Sumlin. Right now besides Alabama and Auburn, the SEC West is a lot weaker than it has been in a while. I'm still not convinced by Orgeron at LSU, MSU just lost Mullen, Ole Miss is in deep trouble, Arkansas is no good, at the Aggies just added Fisher. If Mullen can get us going, it could be a four team league for a few years - Bama, Auburn, Georgia, and us. And the fact that it leaves FSU in disarray is even better.

Taggart I guess @HamiltonESPN: This one will sound crazy, but I believe #FSU #Noles will have more recruiting momentum on the trail if they make the hire being rumored most.
