Might it be time to start this conversation now that Burrow is a corndog?
My Clemson buddy says that he is a great QB, but they have better.https://www.diehards.com/clemson/clemson-hunter-johnson-transfer
Should the Gators be interested?
He was a 5* and #2 QB in the class of 2017. He will have to sit out a year, so he might be better off going to an FCS school. He also might want to JUCO, depending on how many credits he accumulated.
Clemson has been stockpiling talent at the QB position. This is what happens when you do that. Three QBs will be transferring this offseason. My Clemson buddy says that he is a great QB, but they have better.
Actually Bloomington Indiana but close enough. I remember their story about trying to get recruited by SOS and SOS told him they don't recruit Indiana but saw his tape and immediately offered him after that. That's why you need to recruit any top rated player that's interested in you regardless of where they are from. It doesn't hurt us at all to recruit a guy like Stingley and you have to...you just have to be better about reading them and understanding if you are getting them or not and have backup plans unlike chump and butters who were like the ultimate delusional sunshine pumper that just believe we might get them when the writing is on the wall.Indianapolis....middle class QB's that want to play for SOS are different.
Please god. Please let us not screw this upThere's alot of smoke saying that this weekend did what it was supposed to by changing alot of the negative perception about the program. I spoke with one of my friends who was at the cookout and he said "things are FINALLY coming together" and to expect some big names to pop before or a day or 2 after FNL. He's plugged in and has never been wrong on recruiting so we'll see what happens.
I just watched Hunter Johnson's senior tape. Some of the highlights:
1. Throws a very nice fade
2. Can run, is very quick with his cuts and has some very decent speed (4.7).
3. Sees the field well and can make reads
4. Evades the rush well but I did not see him step up into the pocket
5. Needs work on his throwing on the run. Very awkward looking.
6. Needs work on his footwork
7. I did not see too many deep throws
8. He throws an accurate, catchable ball
10. He reminds me a lot of Cord Sandberg except Cord is a left hander
11. He did not deserve to be a 5*, more like a low 4*
No doubt about it...we're WAY past due!Man, we are do for some good luck and good news.
The 2 kids who did that bull$hit won't be able to qualify plus we don't want they ass anyway. They was on courtesy visit because of the schools their at and They won't be back!I was going to ask him about the coCaines thing.
I agree we have no hope of landing a really elite team til we show some drastic improvement on the field but surely we can recruit as well as cowbell in the interim. They've been getting blown out 4-6 times a year amd havent had an offense in forever either.
Mullen must be planning to play Jones. I sure hope so.
EJ is working his tail off. Getting stronger, getting more confident.
He saw the level of competition and no doubt Mullen told him if he gets it together the job is his.
Could also see the junior lightweight version of Leak/Tebow with Trask/Jones, but I would not be surprised to see EJ take the reins during the first third of the season.
When even Doug Johnson is bagging on Franks' ability to see the field, you know it's bad.
I know how bad Franks is. I don't think a good oline fixes it either.

Nothing can fix ignorance!I know how bad Franks is. I don't think a good oline fixes it either.
