This section on Will Grier verifies every damn thing we've speculated on. We were absolutely right.

Ox, you are a smart guy right? My question is who cares? Butters was a fuk up and was going to get canned regardless. If the dumbass Grier didn't take his peds, its a possibility it prolongs Butters firing. Probably not because his offense was horrible no matter who was behind center. Even if Grier was still here he would have likely transferred when Mullen was hired. We are 2 years out from the fiasco and it just doesn't matter. Move on already. Grier is not a gator and will never be one ever again. He is gator bait just like everyone else. We all know Butters was a screw up and is likely the worst gator coach ever. Either way, we still wouldn't have Grier. He did the right thing by going where he went to show case his abilities. He would have never got that opportunity here no matter what. He made his choice...see ya.

And you KNOW the athletic department knew what was going on. They had to! They've seen Spurrier's S&C program, Zook's, Meyer's, and Muschamp's. And then all of a sudden their doing yoga and stretch bands? And going to the wire w/ FAU and East Carolina? Then they give out raises and extensions?

AD: "Hey, we want 2 more years of this!! Here's a contract extension! Keep up the good work!"

UN-F'ING-BELIEVABLE!

I still don't understand why they paid him millions in buyout money. That's just as bad as giving the raise and extension imo. They absolutely could have fired him with cause, not paying him one cent; and yet, they further rewarded that buffoon. I'm not sure how much Foley is still involved with the UAA, but whether he is involved or not, Strickland apparently is a eunuch.

But you are right but the majority of these “reporters” out there are giant pussies. They’re so afraid that they won’t have access that they actually don’t do any reporting.

They do this series every year. Now I think that this one was particularly brutal. But because Mac was Historically bad.

And it wasn’t reporters trashing him. It was players.

They do it annually, and Mac was historically bad. But do you believe we hear the same stories, if Mac is still the coach, or are they edited out?

If Mac is still here I don’t think the players say it. I don’t know if it’s edited out. I just think it’s not said.

Why wouldn’t we have Grier? Butters pushed him out. He would’ve started last year. He would start this year. He didn’t want to leave.

Sure he effed up. But he did not elect to leave. You sure have some deep hate for him. You should seek therapy.

Like you said above, reporters are pussies and are scared of their access. Even if it is said, I'm sure a report will edit it so it's not so bad. Their is no telling the number of players whose NFL futures or just health futures were compromised by this guys lack of CEO abilities and the people he surrounded himself with.

I don't hate Grier. I think he was the best we have had in years. He is better off in a system that fits his skill sets. The kid screwed up and started the ball rolling. As screwed up as Butters was he didn't force feed Grier. Don't do the crime if you cant do the time. I really don't care what Butters did or didn't do AFTER Grier screwed us. I don't hate kids. I just don't waste my time crying over spilled milk. I think its those who do that should seek therapy.

Who gives a flying fuk? Its 2 years later and he isn't a gator. Do you still stalk your ex girl friends too?
Sometimes accepting the truth helps helps people move on from the past....I accepted Butters as a moron within weeks of the whole thing happening back in 2015....
You however still seem angry and I think you blame WG for your boy Butters failure....Only by you accepting the truth will you ever be set free...
I'm here if you need me, Dan...

Like I said, I don't hate kids. Coaches are different. I despise Mac and the day he was hired. As for someone needing help well....go look in the mirror. Being a jilted lover isn't healthy.

"Coach McElwain was someone we targeted from the beginning of the search," Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley told the school's official website.

Now, I'm imagining the interview went something like this:

Foley heads to Mac knowing he wants this guy, not having talked to him yet.
Foley: We want you. I WANT you.
Mac: (OMG, this is unbelievable) I've always admired the program at Florida and have spent my career preparing to lead a program like this to the golden land. (Should have said promised land, dangit).
Foley: So, what's it gonna take for you to come to Gainesville?
Mac: Uh, probably 2-3 moving trucks, maybe a week of packing and unpacking.
Foley: No, salary wise.
Mac: (blank check? go big! Making $1.3m at CSU so...) How about $2m?
Foley: Can't do that, we were paying the last guy $2.7 base salary. How about a little more than that?
Mac: (My first raise, and I'm not even hired yet. Damn I am good. I'm in demand and worth it). ....nods /sht_eating_grin
Foley: With the rest of the compensation stuff like planes and travel accounts and stuff.
Mac: (What?) Yeah, of course.
Foley: So, we good?
Mac: Did you want to see my resume or talk philosophy?
Foley: Nope. We're good. See you in G'ville.

#1) If Butthurt had stayed those death threats would turn into player suicide threats.
#2) Of course reported anonymously, Butthurt's dasturdly coaching made the whole team anonymous in CFB.

I am seriously amazed at the apparent lack of vetting done for employees earning millions of dollars with guaranteed dollars. I hire people making $200k “at will” (meaning I can fire them at any time for no reason) and go through a significant vetting process - including background, references, personality profiling, and basically “BS detecting” analysis. WTF is going on in our admin program?

where do I apply, no really, where?

But wasn’t he doing his time? Didn’t Butters tell him to leave the program? That’s pretty undisputed right?
