I finally figured the so-called "long-term strategy."

Wait until the baseball team wins a CWS and then make plans to build a football facility where the baseball team plays.

I love the theory that the UAA wanted to make big expensive upgrades and Butters was holding them back.

Yeah, the same UAA board who wanted to build half of a IPF really wanted to build a bigger All in One but Butters held them back.

This guy is delusional.

The new UAA plan costs more but is more efficient long term. The risk of losing Mac was a cost they were willing to accept.

Wrong.
You think Mac wanted the bigger Football center under construction in three years over the smaller one that would have gone under construction last December. You are delusional.

Mac was all about facilities now to do his recruiting for him now. I agree he did push for a big Alabama modeled IPF for now to help his recruiting now and I agreed with him on his IPF.

I also agree with the bigger more expensive and efficient Football center the UAA has planned which we can build by moving baseball. That football center will be there for decades and you need to put a better football center in a better place.

The new UAA plan costs more than the plan that would have renovated the existing baseball stadium and have a smaller football center. The more expensive UAA plan results in the baseball and football programs having better facilities for decades.

Mac wanted the smaller football center because the football recruits could use it the soonest regardless if it was smaller and less efficient. Mac was a lazy recruiter and wanted the new facilities to do the recruiting for him asap before he lost his job in part for bad recruiting.

That may be true. But if the UAA had any balls, if there was any leadership, if they were doing what us fans have been demanding, they would have said screw that we are demoing the baseball stadium NOW and building a Taj Mahal football all-in-one NOW. The UAA and Foley's legacy is never going to get off the hook for our decade wandering in the desert.

Mac is an idiot. And even said idiot recognized the facilities had fallen behind the times Significantly.

He wasn’t the only one...just the latest.

Only another idiot would accept JM’s ideas for the “less efficient football center” as being feasible.
A real Leader would recognize that immediately, devise a more efficient plan, and implement that plan immediately.

Oh wait, this is the same new Board Chair that gave CJM, resident idiot, a significant raise the minute he stepped into the position. Oops.

You finally agree on the “best location.”
Yet you’re still missing the boat on timing. This can get done a helluva lot quicker than the current “plan.”

Mac's plan was the fastest. After rethinking it they chose the best long term plan.

UF is not going to throw baseball under the bus as your plan does. Is that how you treat your friends?

Finally agree? Well before the UAA formally announced their plan I posted that I was on board with the rumor of moving baseball for a better located and more efficient football center. Didn't like it short term but do like it better long term.

Show me where the UAA was thinking of bulldozing the Baseball stadium for football prior to June 2017 or I call BS. It was a happy accident that they decided to build baseball a new stadium and, oh BTW, that will leave more room for the football all-in-one.They didn't move baseball FOR football at all.

If I can prove I was posting about the rumor of moving the baseball stadium before the formal UAA announcement ( like I said) will you stop posting here? I never said a date I said before the formal announcement. Put up or shut up.

I was discussing Mac's IPF with another poster and he told me that it was not going through and the rumor was they would move baseball to the current planned site. I commented that it would be great for football if they got that land so they could relocate things. More rumors came out after that discussion. Football does pay the bills so thinking football had no affect on the discussion is naive.

In the long term we'll all be dead.

At least then we won't have to listen to Byrd. Sheesh.

Show me where the UAA was considering tearing down the baseball stadium prior, in the year or two before they won the NC. From the time they announced the all-in-on for ants until then. Your argument is that they had grander plans than what Mac wanted. Okay, so prove it.

He’s gonna switch the argument to proven WRs or losses due to injuries and suspensions.
