I took the family to Gville for vacation. The lab I worked at is down the road for the new baseball stadium. I thought the balloons were out for my visit :fatnanner:

I'm just happy they actually started the process...even though it’s a bit depressing knowing we’ll still be living with the “Section 8 Housing” label for several more years.

Here’s a theory...

The UAA is looking 10 years out, thinking “football is in trouble...shrinking attendance, CTE liability, arms race, kids not caring, etc. Where do we place our bets for the future?” It’s either baseball, quidditch, or e-sports....and maybe at least they’re picking baseball over quidditch.

Baseball will never return anything. They claim the only reason they pay the coach that crazy salary is because the donors say they want him paid like that even though the sport makes nothing.

I like going to the baseball games but this is money poorly spent. I just came from the football stadium and that 65 Million with a ZERO attached to the end could go a long way to improving the most important facility on campus!!!!
Exactly...if baseball gets $65M, then football should get $650M.

“The plan is highlighted by renovations to Bryant-Denny Stadium that will cost more than $250 million.”

It's a miracle they actually finally broke ground on this monstrosity. Most of us were expecting at least another year or two of delays.

Just for you Donkers: note Foley and our metrosexual deep southern frat boy AD. Fuchs doesn’t exactly look like a football guy.

I have my doubts that Fuchs has ever watched any Gator sporting event in full in his entire tenure.

I did not see Thornton Mellon in any of those groundbreaking pictures, so I believe it is all a hoax.
