Maybe did a little good there, but he was hired to coach football, he sucked at it and everyone with a pulse knew it. SECE being terrible floated him to the champ game twice - right into blowouts that everyone saw coming. He was damn proud of the personal credit he got for getting there while continuing to put 110th-ranked offenses on the field every year. He felt it all catching up to him and knew he was toast. Then his circus act sealed the deal ahead of schedule.
