To answer the question asked I the thread title...here I am and here I sit waiting on the program to be resuscitated. At this point, I just don't believe Mac is certified in CPR. ironically, I work with a Bama guy who told me at the time of Mac's hiring that the Bama faithful really liked him when he was their OC and he could see them wanting to hire him when Saban finally leaves/retires. That conversation hasn't been rehashed after what has transpired at UF. My opinion of Mac continues to change and I am in the process of moving from "in over his head" to " a f**k-up." Barring some sort of miracle that will include pulling a dozen rabbits out of his hat on signing day and a huge restructuring of his current staff, not to mention him quickly "getting it," we're likely 5 years out from returning to relevance, maybe a little sooner if we hire somebody with a personality that resonates with recruits and can put together a competent staff.

What a bag-over-head buttf@king Foley gave us on his way out. There really looks to be no way out of this mess for years unless we send this fool packing in 2017. The earlier the better. Even the pumpers can see this shyte is going nowhere.
Seems like the least Foley owes us is a reach-around, because the butt f**king is continuing. And to think I was once complimentary of his work with the athletic program. Like the success of the minor sports, but the state of affairs with football stink.

I'd like to think Butters just got screwed by Fooley with this staff. I still think he did, to an extent, but the worst hires, the coordinators, Nusschamp without a doubt was his first pick, and Nord were likely all Butters.

It's hard to find hope and shocks me a little bit that even some of the most diehard optimists have arrived at the same conclusions I have. Now it's just watching the structure fire burn to the foundation. So frustrating because there is really nothing that can be done at this point.

Yep...it's like watching your house burn to the ground.

It's worse. It's like watching a loved one with Alzheimer's fade into oblivion, unable to remember who they are or how they got there.

^Concur and now that some of the "rude" "mismanagement" "disorganized appearance" as a recruiting representation is starting to filter out. Hence, top recruits scattering like deer has an apparent reasonable basis, I'm feeling more disheartened and pissed.

Hi Mainland_Buc_75,

It's been a while since we've seen you at Gatorchatter. Why not come back and see what you've been missing? Another exciting Gator football season is underway!

Some of our latest topics include: Were Mac's critics right?

Been a while, but I took the bait. Season two under the belt and it's like "Ground Hog's Day". Sorry offense once again. Closing the season out with blowout losses to our in-state rival and the SEC West Division champ, with the strong possibility of another loss to a Big Ten team in the bowl.

Recruiting Mac verses Urb.
2015 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 21 - SEC rank 10. RIVALS: Ranked 23
2016 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 12 - SEC rank 6. RIVALS: Ranked 14
2017 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 20 - SEC rank 9. RIVALS: Ranked 22

2005 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 12 - SEC rank 3 RIVALS: Ranked 15
2006 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 2 - SEC rank 1. RIVALS Ranked 2
2007 recruiting: 24/7 National rank 1 - SEC rank 1. RIVALS Ranked 1

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the recruiting is nowhere near where its needs to be to realistically compete for championships. No lotto numbers here, but unless this changes dramatically, look for the 10-4 and 9-4 seasons to continue.

See ya next year.
Mainland.
