Just a heads up though. More "sources" and inside info say Chip to UCLA is done lol. So only one set of "sources" can be right. It's a war of sources for Chip. FL vs UCLA
Or they are both wrong but one will end up right. I don't know where he ous going but after the initial UF talk and then UCLA jumping in it was to be expected they were going to say they have the deal done and UF fans would then freak. This is all about views and posts to help their bottom line... on both sides

So driving the program deeper into the ****ter with a terrible head coach
Shannon is a four- five loss coach just like the last two pieces of shyt we hired and just like all the mullens, campbells and taggarts you people keep mentioning.

If he's an interim, we fire him at will when the next Creyer becomes evident. It isn't ideal but it worked for Ohio State.

Finally heard something for the first time since Saturday. Here's the long and short of it:

50/50 at this point, and we'll know one way or the other on Sunday.

While is info isn't new, it does confirm some things.
This is depressing af

If it isn't Kelly. Then we need to throw 6 mil/ year for 5 years at Frost and see if he will take it.
There are probably 6 schools at least offering him that or more right now.

The bottom line right now is that nobody knows what is going on with Kelly. At the end of the day one set of sources is going to come out and say they were right and knew it all along. It is wait and see time and that sucks and means we all get to go crazy until it is announced and hearts are broken or we all celebrate.

If Kelly does choose UCLA many will say we should have offered him more, etc... I will say now that if he chooses UCLA that is the place he would prefer to be... West Coast... maybe he wants to build something at a place it hasn't been done... who knows..., but I don't think there is anything Stricklin could have done to change the outcome from whatever it will be.

I was worried about this possibility. You go for the logical strike, a big name who turns out to be illogical, then you find yourself looking at second-choice possibilities. That's not lost on the second choices either, which adds to the peril.

We know who they are and we better be damn well ready to make it happen. Like, yesterday.

Not after the contract they just signed with UA

Contracts can be bought out. THe amount of maoney being thrown around for this hire will break all records. Then again maybe not. "The 15-year, $280-million deal his school signed with Under Armour this week ranks as the largest shoe and apparel sponsorship in college sports history."

Chip's gonna do what he thinks is in his best interest, not ours. We may have given him the best pitch ever (no one knows what was discussed or even offered up in NH, except the people that were there), and he STILL may not take it, because he feels that he wants to go in a different direction (and our $$ offer could still be better than UCLA's, who knows?), and there's not a damned thing we can do about it. And we also cannot say our AD/Pres/etc did anything wrong because we just don't know. Maybe he NEVER wanted to come to UF and he's been just stringing us along the whole time. Who knows (besides "insiders")?
See, that's the point. It doesn't make one GD bit of difference if they "did anything wrong". They are paid to get the job done. They targeted their guy, CK. There are only two options at that point, success (sign him) or failure (he goes elsewhere). All this "well, they gave it the old college try" bs is for losers.

My son goes there and I am very familiar with the dynamic of the school being a "commuter" school BUT I absolutely find it ignorant to classify the school in derogatory term as other's have. This same school went to a New Years Day bowl a few years back and beat a Baylor team that was pretty good when they where still allowing their players to assault women and give a whole new meaning to "two a days". This school has trajectory that lends itself to being very valuable to a conference who would like to get a foothold in the hottest recruiting bed in the country. I am a very proud UF alum (Class of 1990) with a daughter the goes to UF but if athletic departments were stocks, I would place a BUY on UCF and a HOLD/SELL on UF. Just like Notre Dame, Nebraska, and other schools that once ruled the college landscape because of their historical relevance which are now only brought into the conversation because of their name (reference how Miami exposed ND as a fraud), UF is on the precipice of irrelevance. Schools like UCF who can pay good money to coaches, provide good facilities, and give them time to build something special without losing there minds when an occasional rough spot comes are becoming more and more attractive to younger coaches who are interested in a work/life balance that will not burn them out, get them divorced, and have them drop dead on the sideline.
not really sure what any of that has to do with the fact that UCF cannot and will not be paying any coach 5-6 million a year while in the AAC.

otherwise I agree, there is no reason to underestimate them.

So you are saying your source told you nothing more than we already knew? Lmao

So if not Kelly or Frost then who? This is where we are.

Plan A - Kelly, Frost, or Mullen if they all say no

Plan B is Strong,,,

That was the tailgate talk in the parking lot before the game last week.

I am sure, like all of this, it is speculation.

http://beta.latimes.com/sports/ucla/la-sp-0525-ucla-under-armour-20160525-snap-story.html

In the living rooms where recruiting battles are won and lost, Jim Mora likes to talk with young players about football and getting a good education. Now, the UCLA coach has something else to mention.

The 15-year, $280-million deal his school signed with Under Armour this week ranks as the largest shoe and apparel sponsorship in college sports history.
