That was a laudable decision. We may not agree in all things, but our mutual contempt for the Dawgs, UToothless and the SOW is the basis for friendly discourse in any area.

I had a red shirt. It was meant to be worn with something green for Christmas celebrations. On a Saturday game day I stumbled out of bed. It was early but I was in a hurry, the closet was dark, and I grabbed the first shirt I could find. I hopped in the car, and five miles down the road I realized what I was wearing, RED. I turned around, ran into the house, took the shirt off, and tore it up so that I would never make that mistake again.

I get it and they did win the SEC and that’s a big deal. But the reason they lost the NC was because of coaching.
There were two consecutive drives late in the 4th qtr where they took the ball out of that freshman QB’s hands. That same freshman QB who was having a good game and a major reason they were on verge of winning a NC.
The coach took the air out of the ball. The coach lost his balls at the moment of reckoning and went ultra conservative. Sound familiar? Very Richt-like.
The coach that won that NC benched his starter who was something like 25-2 and playing in his 2nd straight NC game for a true freshman who still had splinters in his azz.
Kirby=Richt Just my opinion. Some folks shrink on the big stage.

It's even more weird to see you posting about football on this board since you supposedly were going to off yourself after Mullins was hired.....But I'm glad you're still with us. I'd miss watching you flip flop like a fish out of water when things don't go exactly the way you say they are....

Could not understand why the dawgs kept going to Chubb in the 2nd half. He wasn't explosive at all, got nothing on his runs and killed drives. Michel was having a far better game and bama wasn't containing him nearly as well as they were bottling up Chubb. That stubbornness lost the game. Mullen has to be more flexible in game with the better talent he's already getting in here. I know some folks here don't think he can and that he'll rely on game plan, talent and execution. This will be a point of contention for smart's and mullen's fan bases as things go forward. Both coaches need to realize some of saban's success has come from an ability to change things up not because of injury to a player but cuz it's what you have to do when the other guy has got your number.
