He had absolutely no chance of getting in so we went and got the kid from Georgia. Also we and UGA quit recruiting him over a month ago because he showed up to camps this summer fat and out of shape! Dude jumped into the FSU class quick after We/UGA and Miami cooled on himHoly ish he said “and” five times in that sentence. I’m confident he wouldn’t have gotten accepted to UF.
I want to thank the good lord and my momma and my estranged daddy and my boo and my coach and everyone that ever watched me play and my fans and.....
Shavar Manual 2.0;)That’s a fckin clown if I’ve ever seen one!
Dude is a road grader with elite size for a spread/power run scheme. I'm glad we took him over Putnam because Simmons plays with a mean streak and we need that ASAP on our soft a$$ OL!That is one big dude. Welcome to Gator Nation!
We need that attitude on the whole team! No more of this well gosh we had fun attitude.Dude is a road grader with elite size for a spread/power run scheme. I'm glad we took him over Putnam because Simmons plays with a mean streak and we need that ASAP on our soft a$$ OL!

Agreed...that crap use to piss me off something serious! We need that attitude on the whole team! No more of this well gosh we had fun attitude.
Nothing is harder to project than OL. I'm happy with high three star bodies that have performed well against elite talent in HS.Hope we get at least one elite prospect here, but it looks like there will be actual quality depth across the line soon enough.
I missed this earlier.Simonds commits to the good guys.
247 has him listed 6 foot 3 and a half inches, 324 lbs.
455th ranked nationally, ranked 16 at his position, 49th ranked player in Georgia.
Three OL committed to the 2019 class. Staff wants two more.
They are going after dudes with the size to step in and play day one so I wouldn't expect any 5* rated kids. The 5* rankings usually go to kids who are very athletic and Who are light in the a$$. We're FINALLY going after road graders who play pissed off!!!Banks, Bleich, and Gouraige are solid additions to the 2018 class. Looks like Dan is doing what he can to add more of the same with the 2019 bunch. We need two more OL in this class. Hope we get at least one elite prospect here, but it looks like there will be actual quality depth across the line soon enough.
No one said that. I said I don't like 5 star OL. I love 5 stars at most other positions. Would you trade Jawaan Taylor for another Humphries?Lol now we don't want 5star players because they're too raw smh. Let the rationalization begin.
I would trade a jawaan Taylor for leatherwood. We've signed like 2 5 star oline men in the last 8 years and they both didn't really pan out. How many 5star linemen has bama signed? No one said that. I said I don't like 5 star OL. I love 5 stars at most other positions. Would you trade Jawaan Taylor for another Humphries?
I wouldn't trade Leatherwood for Taylor. Taylor was exactly what we needed. Why? because he possesses a great drive to succeed. Remember he was the one in the weight room chiding others for not being there.I would trade a jawaan Taylor for leatherwood.
Jaawan Taylor's a good story and a good player for us. And I'm not complaining about this new commitment because i too think hes a quality pick up. But the notion that we don't want 5 star talent on the oline is ridiculous ,dude.I wouldn't trade Leatherwood for Taylor. Taylor was exactly what we needed. I have no clue whether Leatherwood would have worked out under Butters or if he would have been eating PBJs and watching cartoons instead.
As for the exact count, you can google it if you want.
I need to smack your mama. But the notion that we don't want 5 star talent on the oline is ridiculous ,dude.
Pumper.Nothing is harder to project than OL. I'm happy with high three star bodies that have performed well against elite talent in HS.
OL takes work. Kids don't just step onto the field and perform on raw talent, without working in the weight room, the blocking drills, sleds, etc and in the filmroom, like say a Callaway can at WR.
Some of the 4 and 5 star guys get their ratings bc they can dunk a basketball or whatever despite being 290 and can't actually play football. I don't care if we take a pass on those. Just looking back at Humphreys and others show how hard it is to project ACTUAL PRODUCTION (not NFL draft stock) at OL.
