Neely chased after giving up a HR to leadoff bottom 6th.

Ol Folks Sausage gets 2 perfect ground outs, then serves up a middle of the plate breaker and goodbye to the ball and the pitcher.

Vandy 9 to 3 with 2 outs in the bottom of 6th and going to weather delay.

Staying consistent as we have now trailed in all 17 SEC games at some point. And did not have to wait long tonight as trailed 2-0 after one inning. Three mistakes in the first inning yet you will not see an error on the board. Coppola hits a guy on an 0-2 pitch to put runners on first and second. Yes the ball hit the knob of the bat but given the replay rules it was not 100% clear so they could not overturn it, Then on a double steal by Vandy, the Nut drops the ball at 3B on what would would have been a sure out caught stealing. then the next batter doubles to left but i think Russel in LF misjudged the ball based on the swing and took a horrible path to the ball. And we have only struck out offensively 5 times in our first 9 outs. Good times.

Coppola out after 1 2/3rds after walking a lefty on 4 pitches. Every ball the Vandy hitters put in play off him was very solid contact. He has a lot of work to do, but happy the kid is healthy enough to pitch.

Donay with a HR.

Cags with a HR that ties a record for 9 straight games with a HR.

Vandy 3 to 2 going to bottom of 6th.

This is it in a nutshell. We do not have the ability to get base hits and winning SEC games on solo HR's just is not going to happen. We are fortunate to be down only one run given Vandy has had double digit base runners already thru 6 innings. 9 strikeouts offensively thru 7 innings.

Imagine being a team we've beaten already.
Suicide watch for errbody.
You know I am going to invoke the default JBoss rule here. ATM is currently ranked #1 in the country, but if memory serves me correctly we defeated them 2 games to 1 to win the season series, so using the JBoss rule, since we defeated ATM, i,e., e.g., ergo, therefore, we are the de facto #1 team in the country.:exactly:

Leadoff batter for Vandy gets hit by pitch in the 8th allowing Vandy to score an insurance run after a double and a SAC Fly. 3 hit batters tonight by Gator pitching. One on an 0-2 count, the other two when the pitcher was ahead 1-2 in the count at some point in the at bat. A second insurance run scores on an infield single. While we are standing around right after that play, the runner takes off for 2B, McNeillie looks up and throws it low allowing the ball to go into CF. So a guy with an infield single now stands on 3B without a pitch being thrown after his infield single. At what point does the "coaching staff" say that it is time to go back to coaching like you would at say the Tee ball level?

Gators trail in their 18th consecutive SEC game. 2-0 after 3.. Win or lose today this team is just horrendous. Looking at getting swept today and probably a greater than 50-50 chance of getting swept next weekend at ARK.

The Vandy pitcher is taken out of the game by the umpires with 2 outs and a 3-2 count in the 4th inning leading 2-1. He placed his pitching hand palm completely on his forearm and then wiped his hands off. Sully complained about something and the umps got together but of course on the broadcast there is not explanation but that is what it is about.. And the guy Vandy brings in has injured his back while warming up. He has to come out due to injury. Now that have to bring in another pitcher. Crazy shyt

7 of our 12 outs today have been via the strikeout. We never fail to disappoint at the plate.
