The QB committed to Miami is the same size as Eason and much more gettable right now. He's instate and Golden HAS been fired. Sure he's not rated quite as high but how much difference is there between a top 10 player and a top 100 player out of the tens of thousands of high school kids playing football. I also bet the kid in south Florida has played much better competition than anyone out of Washington.

Well, there is also the " feel free to take a second redshirt if you get banned for a year" rule that might also be applicable if we make a few false positive viagra tests.

Your viagra tests are anything but "false positive", old man. We all know you sprinkle those lil' blue pills on your breakfast cereal every morning just to work up enough of a chub to harass the paralegal in the office.

Sure would be awesome if Mac could somehow pull this off and grab a two-fer.

....... Nauta and Eason have spoken multiple times in the past few days, and have Michigan as ther mutual #1, with Florida a close second."

Can someone please remind these young men how miserable Michigan is in the winter and that Florida girls can wear sun dresses and short shorts year round... I mean, come on boys.........get your priorities in order!

I'm sure we're talking to both. The Eason kid reached out to us...along with Michigan, ND, Bama and some other school after the rumblings about Richt heated up this week.

As of today, it's looking less like a Richt resigning/firing and more like a big purge of assistant coaches.

We need to build depth at QB. The kid from STA may not pan out. Trask may not pan out, or likely not soon enough if he does at all. No one is stoked about Treon even though he's doing a fair job. We need another QB in this class.

Supposedly, Pruitt is the cause of disharmony but his defense has been much better than the offense. From what I read, it would cost them over $2m total to get rid of Pruitt, but only about $1m per year to jettison Richt.

So, the defense sucks and the offense sucks alot? Could you imagine having that moron Pruitt as the "strength" of your team?

Yes...yes I could. We just lived through 4 years of that same scenario.

We have Del Rio's kid next year to throw in the mix. He may beat Treon out until we get Grier back.

I don't see us flipping Haskins or franks , i haven't read anything where it seemed like either one of those guys are even close to changing their minds and this eason kid seems like a long shot. I haven't heard much on this staff recruiting the Miami commit. I think we end up with a lower tear qb like Tyler Odin(louisville commit) or woody barret(auburn commit). If grier loses his appeal I wouldn't be surprised if they look at some graduate transfers.

I don't know about that. Grier was a top quarterback.

Sorry I mean in the 15' class and this current class we have committed. Grier is tough and I really like him. He was a blessing for us during the Muskrat era!

Listening to the local Athens sports station up here they are more than a little pissed at Richt. The are asking questions about hanging their hats, again on the next "savior" recruit to bail them out. It hasn't worked with Moreno, Shockley, Stafford, etc, etc. etc. So the word up here is dissension and unified direction among Pruitt and the other coaches. We'll see...
