The Bills have the worst QB's in the league and they just let Tyrod Taylor walk. There's a reason for that, and I think we all saw it. He can't pass, and never has been able to.

Mayfield has quick-throw ability, quick-thinking. Mostly, he doesn't panic. He scrambles well while aware of where to look looks for follow-up receivers. He leads by example. He inspired his teammates. = All in his first game of his rookie season. On a no-win team.

Why wasn't he the starter to begin with?

Just from watching Hard Knocks, he wasn't ready at the beginning of the season from what I saw. But I also don't know what they edited out.

He'll undoubtedly make rookie mistakes, but I saw plays in that highlight reel that are normally reserved for a veteran QB -- sidestepping linemen in the pocket, ropes to receivers over the middle, even a touch ball or two. He's a playmaker.

The Browns coaching staff raved about the kid in the preseason. I can see why now. He's got fire in his belly and an it factor.
