My first thought was Delance was supposed to assist the RG then hit the second level and get the LB before he chases. Based on his reaction, I assume that was the playcall. Just assumed if he had gotten there, it would’ve worked. But you make a lot of sense. Would like to hear someone ask Mullen about it and what he was thinking. Didn’t we still have TOs? Maybe we could’ve called one and put EJ in. He makes more sense on that play unless the point was to catch them by surprise. It had been successful each time we used it before that but I don’t think we had tried it in the RZ yet.
