Law will love this hire by Southern Miss: @Swamp Donkey

Southern Miss: East Texas Baptist head coach Scotty Walden will join the Southern Miss staff as inside receivers coach, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. The 27-year-old Walden has been at ETBU since 2013, including one year as head coach, the youngest in college football.

Washington: Boise State co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Scott Huff has been named offensive line coach at Washington. Huff has been on the Boise State staff since 2006.

Boise State: With Scott Huff leaving for Washington, only 3 assistants remain from Bryan Harsin’s original 2014 staff, as they leave for bigger jobs.

(Harsin would be my #1 candidate if we had an open HC position)

Ohio State released an interesting stat about Urban Meyer.

These are the highest career scoing averages among active FBS coaches, with at least 15 seasons as a head coach:

1. 37.5 ppg Bob Stoops

2. 37.4 ppg Urban Meyer

3. 34.9 ppg Mike Leach

4. 33.5 ppg Gary Patterson

5. 31.8 ppg Nick Saban

You probably wouldn’t have guessed Gary Patterson is only slightly behind Mike Leach.

I'd like to see the lowest scoring averages by OCs. I think we are a shoo-in.

Well, his 2 years at UF....but the way this list was compiled it was "as a head coach", so they'd include the 3 years at CSU. I'd be curious to see it also (and Muschamp's, although he did average around 30 ppg his last year at UF).

Florida Atlantic: Monte Kiffin will join the FAU staff in a role to be determined, according to The Sporting News’ Alex Marvez. The 77-year-old Kiffin was most recently a defensive assistant with the Jaguars and has previously worked unde Lane Kiffin at Tennessee and USC.

There's an AD in the conference that's very familiar with Mullen and will be conducting a search in the not too distant future.
This makes me want to chase you down with a pneumatic stapler.

Demeyune Craig is headed back to FSU. SMH. Another great recruiter and connection for Jimbo.

http://lsu.247sports.com/Article/Dameyune-Craig-has-taken-a-job-at-Florida-State-51636587

Former LSU wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig has landed another job, and he's headed back to work for Jimbo Fisher at Florida State.

Craig has accepted a job as a quality control coach on FSU's staff, the school confirmed on Monday.

Pretty sure he'll be the 10th coach whenever approved.

Odd move here for former UF WR and WR coach Aubrey Hill:

Florida International: Marshall wide receivers coach Aubrey Hill will join the FIU staff as wide receivers coach, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy. Hill joined Marshall last month from Miami Carol City High School (FL) and has previously coached at Florida and Pitt. After Hill joined Marshall, Herd tight ends coach Dave Dunn moved off the field.

Collins loses his WR coach too, before ever coaching a game:

East Carolina: Temple wide receivers coach Keith Gaither has joined the ECU staff as wide receivers coach. Gaither spent the last two years at Army and joined Temple earlier this offseason.

Former UF QB's son David Reaves:

Oregon: Former co-offensive coordinator David Reaves earned $63,750 in his two weeks on staff before his dismissal, according to the Eugene Register-Guard. That included $3,750 for 26 hours of work and a $60,000 lump-sum payment that the school did not detail. He had a two-year deal worth $300,000 annually.

David Reaves was my high school quarterback for a season. Dude could throw the hell out of the ball, then his dad took the job at USCe.
