Unfortunately EJ does not have a future at another position. He's too slow and not athletic enough for a reciever position and not big or strong enough for a tight end. Some aren't cut out for it and there nothing shameful about that, very few are.

He is a Gator. He will always be one. Just because he doesn’t graduate from UF doesn’t take away his time there or that he’s been wearing a Gator uni & the starting QB all year. Whether or not that meets your threshold for “being a Gator” doesn’t matter. He’s a letter earning athlete at UF. That makes him a Gator.

I think EJ had the ability, unfortunately he needed some honing and it didn't happen. Trask was an anomaly that just has an ability to see the defense and know where the ball needs to go. I think he watched enough film to learn that on his own and Mullen just stumbled up on it after Franks got hurt. I dont know how good EJ could have been but it didn't happen under Mullen.
