My days of solitude are coming to an end. We will finally be all moved in next week. Here are a few more I caught this week.
Super Troopers 2 - Sometimes when you take to long to make a sequel it falls flat. While this one still had its moments and tried not to reproduce to much from the first it still wasn't as funny. It had its moments and the same hi-jinx but wasn't as good. This time they have to work with Canadians as a town is now going to be US territory. They then find some shady stuff going on and investigate. Still worth a look though if you liked the first one. 5/10
The Legacy of the Whitetail Deer Hunter (Netflix) - this one has a great cast (Josh Brolin and Danny McBride). Its about a dad who hosts a hunting show and is trying to bond with his young son while on a hunt and catch it all on film. There are a few funny moments, but plays a little more drama unless the jokes just fall flat. It's your typical Netflix movie that is better than a TV movie, but not good enough for theaters. 5/10
Jurassic World 2 - Rinse and repeat. Humans mess with Dinosaurs and people get eaten. Everyone knows the plot right now, but wasn't as good as the first one. Seeing dinosaurs are still cool, but I guess they have made the commitment of going with the creating new ones thing. I just don't remember any real wow moments like other have had in them either and they still don't show enough of the Mosasaurus. There is one moment that hits you in the gut a little but other than that nothing is that great. The actors were fine, but I think the story was a little weak and interested in where they go from here due to the ending. 6/10
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - Absolutely fantastic. This one definitely deserved all of the praise given to it. To sum up a woman's daughter was murdered and a year later it is still unsolved. It's about her quest to push the investigation going and how it affects her relationship with those around her and the local police. The cast was fantastic in this and well done by all. I think Woody Harrelson stands out for me most in this one, especially some of his closing moments and he has really turned into a great actor. 9/10
