Frost is my number one however, I would take Norvell if we didn't land Frost. The one big advantage Tennessee has over all the other places is that there is no state income tax. If it's about money then there is a huge portion saved.
really? Hmmm, i didn't know that. Bet it's a good place to retire too! :)Um. Neither does Florida

So I guess UF put him on a deadline and Frost did not commit quickly enough so they dropped the offer by $1,000,000? When do they go down to $3,000,000?
That tweet says he was offered by Nebraska. The other tweet was for Florida.
Enjoy the winters and snow in May..but then again, I make a lot more money in Chicago than I ever did in Orlando. Guess it is a wash..
96.9 Orlando was commenting on whether the next coach can handle the same pressure as MAC had of a NC coach in Spurrier down the hall and a former AD down the hall in Foley with both giving you hints about how to run an offense. Could that be a problem for the next coach? Comments were that Foley is still too involved.
He co hosts a radio show with a former Cornhusker player.
Norvell would probably take the Arkansas job over ours.
Well, the Arkansas job is certainly better than the Nebraska job - it should be a no-brainer for Frost. As for Norvell, Arkansas has superior facilities to Florida and a pretty nutty fan base. The moment Saban leaves, Arkansas could be a player again.Arkansas over Florida? I don't even think Jerry Jones would pick Arkansas over Florida.
Norvell would be an idiot, and honestly, we wouldn't have wanted him anyways
Bama is nuts as all hell. You know this. I know this. The Pope knows this.Well, the Arkansas job is certainly better than the Nebraska job - it should be a no-brainer for Frost. The reality is that right now both Nebraska and Arkansas have full time football coaches. They may be the proverbial dead men walking but neither has been fired as yet. I know ethical behavior is not necessarily a part of big time college athletics but I wonder whether a coaching candidate would be bothered by overtures from a school without an opening.
If the school's representatives said "oh, don't worry, we're going to fire Coach Billy Bob at the end of the season but he doesn't know it yet"....should that bother the coach being approached about the opening that hasn't yet opened? There is clearly a "coaching fraternity" in that industry. Does it give the candidate any hesitation to know that "representatives" of a school are gauging his interest for a job that isn't yet open? Is it in any way unethical?
Perhaps it's no big deal and coaches know it's all part of the business. It would seem to give Florida an advantage to approach potential candidates and say "we already have an opening and we need a coach". Just wondering?
