They'll go Taggart if Taggart will have them. How strong is the pull back to Florida for him is the question because I don't think it will be much of a money thing. The clowns are basically in the position that we were after Urban, they think everything will be dandy no matter the coach because FSU recruits itself. (Hint: it doesn't) They won't overpay for a coach just because of that. The fall should be glorious!

Not chopping down these "coach-leaving rumors" immediately certainly means not putting your present school's interests first. Thus selfish Jimbo's interests he gives precedence to ... whether it's raise or aTm, its still ^ his $s.

If Fisher was/is a top coach, then Texas a&m is an enticing CFB challenge yielding probably a 2-4 million $ raise.
Will his SEC-fear keep him at FSU? Or if the money increase is plush, will Fisher spot and like the SEC East's extreme weakness. His agent will know that will allow Jimbo to win well long enough to entrench him at a&m 6-10 years, making top dollars before it begins to sour? 6-10 before the East gets strong.

You think? I don’t think Strong would ever go to FSU.
Strong and Taggart are their top two options according to their insiders, which would also make the most sense in general. I don’t think Strong would either being how he is basically an honorary gator. But if he did, I still don’t think Charlie is elite and he won’t make us sweat the way Jimbo did.

I also don’t think Taggart is going to leave Oregon

Everything that I have read has said that Taggart really likes it up in Oregon and has a great relationship with Phil night.

Taggart just got an extension through 2022... Sumlin might be in play?

I preferred Strong to Mullen. I would hate to see him at the SOW. He is the hard nose guy that will try to straighten out that mess.

Petrino would be awful for us, hopefully that doesn't happen. Strong on the other hand I'm all for, guy is a failure on the big stage.

Agree. Petrino can at least get an offense, which leaves the question of whether or not he can get someone to make a defense for him (hasn't shown to do so yet, IMO). However, his offense can only get so good, there is a ceiling, so it may push us to ensure we have a good defense (a good thing for us) making it a 50/50 matchup of sorts - allowing our defense, and our ability to score on offense, as the difference maker. Obvious, I know, but my point is I see Petrino pushing us but not beating us consistently. Also, the TPD is a safe space for him, so yeah, I could see him take this.

Strong couldn't get it done with the resources at Texas. He absolutely does not scare me at all. I think any Gator in his blood is thinned or gone given how he has been treated since he left and how others have given him a chance (LOU, TX, USF). I'd see him looking for the next move at some point, but not this fast in his USF career and not to FSU. The 'not FSU' part is nothing about him, but is wholly about the environment there.

Jimbo didnt make us sweat. If we had hired someone slightly more competent than Chimp, Jimbo would have been fired years ago. He was on the smoking hot seat in 2013

If Taggart LEAVES Oregon, he owes the school 4 million dollars personally. I don’t think he’s leaving
Taggart is begging for a job. Well known that neither side likes each other at Oreygone.

I welcome Mr 7-5 Harballs Lite.

That’s not true. He and Phil Knight are said to have a great relationship.
