Petrino would be awful for us, hopefully that doesn't happen. Strong on the other hand I'm all for, guy is a failure on the big stage.
Agree. Petrino can at least get an offense, which leaves the question of whether or not he can get someone to make a defense for him (hasn't shown to do so yet, IMO). However, his offense can only get so good, there is a ceiling, so it may push us to ensure we have a good defense (a good thing for us) making it a 50/50 matchup of sorts - allowing our defense, and our ability to score on offense, as the difference maker. Obvious, I know, but my point is I see Petrino pushing us but not beating us consistently. Also, the TPD is a safe space for him, so yeah, I could see him take this.
Strong couldn't get it done with the resources at Texas. He absolutely does not scare me at all. I think any Gator in his blood is thinned or gone given how he has been treated since he left and how others have given him a chance (LOU, TX, USF). I'd see him looking for the next move at some point, but not this fast in his USF career and not to FSU. The 'not FSU' part is nothing about him, but is wholly about the environment there.
