GCMB Poll: Who was UF's best tight end?

Cornelius Ingram fan here, on the Championship run, some of those clutch catches and after catch runs are burned in my mind. But really, just as the list is sorted, many high five memories with Ben and Chris- (my generation). Man, almost sell my soul for a player just sniffing the same conversation with anyone on our OP Gator HOF List.

Not a vote on most talented tight end, but rather the best tight end, blocker included. This isn't a lifetime achievement vote either.

Hands down AH. Off field obviously issues, on the field one of the best TEs to ever play college football. You cannot deny him. UF has not had a better TE, ever.

Any list without Tevin Westbrook or Clay Burton is incomplete IMO.

Tevin Westbrook's dropped TD indirectly led to Muschamp's firing and for that, I am forever greatful.

You are not accounting for AH dual threat of running the ball/shuffle passes. His alignment was a constant nightmare for teams.

The vote here is decidedly in favor of the modern hybrid TE, a guy with lots of speed and athleticism who's basically another wide receiver. Greg Olsen of Miami has been that kind of player in the NFL. Some offenses are better built for a TE who often serves as another offensive lineman. Hernandez was an athlete and a really good one.

I think another thing to look at is the supporting cast. Look at AH #s and realize he had to share reps with Tebow, smurfs, Lois Murphy, Percy, Nelson and Riley. Dang.
