I like facts too. Here's one from Wikipedia: When Saban arrived in East Lansing, Michigan prior to the 1995 season, MSU had not had a winning season since 1990, and the team was sanctioned by the NCAA for recruiting violations committed under his predecessor and former mentor, George Perles.
Saban just creates winners everywhere he goes. Except the Dolphins.

So if I go undefeated as a pop warner coach, I'm better than Saban?

I guess you missed the part about "at their first major job"? Not PoP Warner.

Jackpot. We aren't a program were coaches come with training wheels still on (see Zook, Ron). The Donovan comparison is moot since basketball at the time he came was a distant second to football, and that after a recent Final Four appearance in 1994 as well.

In your opinion but not real life. As based on your feelings. Thanks for your slanted opinion.

With all due respect to Ron Zook, he never went 3-5 twice and 4-8. Never failed to qualify for a bowl game. Never lost to Vandy. Never lost to Jyorga south. It's wrong to compare them. Zook was just mediocre. Mushchimp is pathetic.

But the winning percentage doesn't lie.

I can't argue that Saban is a winner but the fact is, his first 3 years at MSU his winning percentage was 53%. That's a fact.

Take a look at how many games Dook won before SOS arrived. I'd guess 4 or 5 in the previous decade. They made Kintucky look like a powerhouse.

I don't even think DC believes this shiiit. He lives too close to jorgya and may well be an undercover fleabag.

Believe what? I'm just quoting facts.... Do you not like facts?

As I've said, "You sir shouldn't call others names."

You're right. All those coaches got better each year in the numbers you pulled. They didn't take a nosedive in year 3.

The point is about the first three years of their Career at their first major job.

Numbers just show a relationship and you make a valid point.

Most surveys would have a larger body to work with and would throw out the high and low numbers. So in WM's case we would throw out the 11-2 and 4 - 8 seasons as abnormalities.

That would leave 7 - 6 as the Standard and that is unacceptable.

Yeah, as much as I defend Muschamp, it's not really a fair comparison. None of those programs were established when Saban, SOS, and Billy took over. I will say that Muschamp was doomed in 2011 no matter what happened, and that he rebounded tremendously in 2012. But even I'll say he's lucky to still have a job at UF after last season. Hell, I thought he was finished after the Vandy game. If it wasn't for 2012, Muschamp wouldn't still have a job, and he's obviously coaching for his life this year.

My opinion is universally known. No need to continue to bang on him. He's just a bad coach. And you propping him up like Weekend at Bernie's isn't necessary either. Your comparison is so laughable that even the pumpers are staying away from this abomination. But hey, keep up the great analysis. Looking forward to your next big thing. Phil Steele has nothing on you pal.
