Likewise, I've always liked the name (and subsequent mascot use of Eddie) for

Seemed like both apt for the heavy metal, but able to pivot for various use (ie "Maiden Japan")

Dang Goon, most of those bands operated and performed in and around Tallahassee. Southern Satisfaction, I believe, was the house band at Rocky’s. Heard them many a night. Dickie Hosford, “Hoss” of Hutch.and Hoss, was a PE teacher at Raa Middle School and also coached swimming at Lincoln HS. Saw Tom and the Cats and Crooked Shooz playing dances over in Gadsden county a few times.

Still listen to them regularly... they are another one of those bands where I could not care less about their songs that made it to the radio, but love all their other stuff.

I wasn’t. Went back once to Bullwinkles after my time UF. Was Poor Paul’s on TN street too? I know the name.

IIRC - it was down/back behind Bullwinkles. Used to play pool there after racquetball
