Michael was always trying to meddle with Bulls personnel decisions, specifically involving trading for former UNC players, one of the many reasons why he was at odds with GM Jerry Krause.

One of the more unmemorable Jordan trade wishes, one he pushed real hard for, was Walter Davis. When Krause wisely ignored his advice, Jordan complained it was "the same old stuff."

A writer asked Jordan what other acquisitions he would make. Jordan whimsically replied Dudley Bradley, Kenny Smith and Brad Daugherty, all former Tar Heels.

Jordan was a far better player than talent judge.
