He was much more than a punter. Darn good db, though not fast enough for the NFL, and a heck of a baseball pitcher. His stuff wasn't that good but such a competitor, and, yes, he did kick as well as punt. I think briefly held the distance record for field goals.

But Ancient is wrong. I think he may have been the backup emergency kicker but Ray Guy was a punter, plain and simple.

They didn't want him anyway! Have never seen so many people so excited over a kicker but then again we only made 3 out of every 10 this season

Really, I've never seen college level kicking as poor as Florida was this year. Hardin suffered a total nervous breakdown.

Hardin just needs to stick to kickoffs. Yes and this is the worst I have ever seen UF kicking. It's pretty bad when your FG center has to have a football surgically removed. This kid has to know he'll start from the time he walks on the field. Probably the most guaranteed playing time ever. Now next, UF's QB.
