We have a winner coach
Big things coming soon outta Mullen and company!
A very good, very solid class with some highly regarded talent (12 four stars) is nothing to feel badly about at this juncture.
Fourteen 4 stars, plus a 4 star (high 4 star) and a 5 star transfer.
Any reasonable person would consider that a borderline great transition class.
Don't forget Butters Sub-Sunbelt coaches. Those boys oozed elite................I know. More bluechippers than Butterteeths first and second class combined.
And it doesnt have a dozen Sunbelt level low 3 stars.
And yet, we have panic bc some toolbags thought we were going to get every star left on the board and announcing at 10:00 in ESPN.
Based on what exactly? Please do tell.
coach who is proud to be here. He knows our tradition and expects excellence! His enthusiasm is magnetic.
Really?
That all sounded like fluff to me.

I'm honestly shocked this isn't getting more discussion here. My Bama buddy texted me an article about this quote and was really surprised Mullen would make such a bold statement. Basically said that this was Mullen saying he wouldn't let Georgia take over the east.DM's reply when asked how he plans to keep pace with UGA...
"Listen, winning one SEC Championship Game doesn't make you a dominant program, you know what I'm saying?" Mullen said with a laugh. "In two of the last three years, we've been to the SEC Championship Game. So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while."
Not sure if that's a throwdown with Kirby or Butters. Probably both LOL!
The UGA pages are all over it. So are some of the top national analysts.I'm honestly shocked this isn't getting more discussion here. To me, this is a very defining statement. He is basically laying down a couple huge points:
1 - I'm not McElwain and the two SEC East titles he brought here are not adequate. We can and will do better.
2 - I'm not scared of Georgia. We can and will compete with them and we will treat that game as the huge rivalry and season influencing game it should be.
To me this quote is massive and almost deserves it's own thread. The fact it is buried here and getting no discussion seems to not do it the justice it deserves.
