Thanks (maybe?) Midwest.
But in honesty, I must say that one component of my brain-phys-kenetics impairments is an
absolute, in-every-way, mishandling of any basketball. I was bad enough starting out that I stopped
embarrassing myself and friends by all-together quitting even at recreational playing of basketball
at an early age.
A neighbor gave me a basketball for my 12th birthday, but family members kept draining the air.
My athletic ineptness was odd to my family because my youngest (he was 18 when I was 12) uncle Jerry Lee, was All-State in Georgia in Football, Basketball and Baseball (in '57). One homecoming game, Waycross High, on the opening KO the opposing kick returner ran it back for a TD. Knowing
well his coach, 16 Y.O. Jerry, reading his HC's "oh-so-red" face feared a heart attack. So Jerry went over and said, "Coach, if he can do that, I can do that."
Sure enough, Jerry took their KO back for a TD.
