***Official Game Thread*** Florida vs Mercer

Florida takes on Mercer tonight at 8:00 PM on ESPNU. Florida will look to build on a great last 15 min of their opening game. In the meantime former Florida assistant coach Matt McCall has his Chattanooga team (already beat Tenn by 13) playing tough against NC on ESPNU eight now.

Prediction-

Florida: 89
Mercer: 62

Kentucky looked beatable for much of tonight vs Canisius. I think we will have a shot to win the SEC this year.

Florida up 16-10 at the under 8 timeout. We are 2-9 for 3. Hill is 0-3. They are playing a sagging zone and we can't get the ball inside.

Florida up 20-12 at the under 4 timeout. Just incompetent shooting. Great coaching by Mercer to make us shoot which half the time we don't even want to.

We ran for the first time in the game really and made an open 3pter and a 3pt play

Allen looking better on his 3pters but they keep going in and out.

We played the last 6 or so min with no PG, Allen was essentially the PG with Barry at SG. We went from a 6 pt lead to being up 22 at half. Florida is now up 36-14 at half. Shooting is still bad but they ran a little more and used their length on offense and defense. Defense has been amazing...or Mercer not so good on offense, hard to tell

Thanks Lee! This is for sure a run and gun team, which is how White wants to play. But I do like the half court practice in these early games.
