Exceeded all expectations. Great intensity. Go Gators!
I thought we’d win and win by a comfortable margin. Aspects greatly exceeded my expectations but the play calling concerned me. However I’m questioning my concerns. Mullen may be better and wiser than I am thinking. Franks is better this week than last week.

9/18, 172. Basically Nick Fitzerald, without the running ability.

I guess Kentucky was better than we gave them credit for. Either that or Miss State is worse than we thought.
He ran for several key first downs and a TD
I give him credit for that but he does not have the speed of Nick Fitzerald. Their completion rate is almost identical, hovering around 50%.

Always a great win. Right now all you can ask for is actual progress. And I think we can agree we are seeing that on the field.

95 pts in two weeks.

Still work to do but it's been a while since we saw those sorts of numbers.

Look, I really enjoyed pasting Tennessee but we need to be more consistent in the running game, the passing game or both. I am also glad that Franks did not turn it over. His TD to Int ratio is astronomical.

I’m already annoyed by the narrative that Florida capitalized on Ut’s mistakes to win this game.

No.

Florida’s defense made spectacular plays to force turnovers early then capitalized on those turnovers to seize control of the game and force Ut to take more risks. Reese’s opening INT/fumble recovery was caused, not an “oops” play. The next INT was caused by a DL drifting back into coverage in anticipation of the play.

Grantham deserves a lot of credit for this.

The special teams play was excellent again.

The offense was competent against a decent defense, albeit with a short field much of the night. But we didn’t see repeated stalled drives and missed opportunities.

This was a solid win against a very bad Vol team. But our guys were ready. Our young DBs played well.

Reese was a one-man game changer on D. In on every play, every tackle it seemed like. Will most certainly grade out a Champion

Announcers said that was our most pts in Rocky Top since 43 in 1984. I was there! On a bus trip with Atlanta Gator Club. Neyland "only" seated something like 94K then. Biggest crowd I'd ever been in. I thought it still wasn't as loud as 72K in FL Field. Was hotter than hell. Won by 13, 43-30. As our buses tried to leave, the inbreds threw whiskey bottles at our bus. So long ago that oldest son, a Gator fan, was just one month old!
