America started its long decline into oblivion in 1963 when we let the Beatles play at Shea Stadium. I won't say the 50s were the high point of the Republic but...

Again though, the hygiene. It’s just such a deal killer.

I also think you’re forgetting that Chevy didn't make a 327 in 1955. The 327 didn’t come out until '62. And it wasn't offered in the Bellaire with the 4-barrel carburetor until '64. Sorry, 1950’s. If you didn’t even have a 327, you don’t make the cut.

Yeah, not sure... I just googled "If I were ghey, and wanted to watch a movie that was a period piece, what would you recommend" and that's what came up.

I had a Schwinn Wasp bicycle with knee action suspension and fat tires.

The Beatles played Shea in '65. The Germans bombed Pearl Harbor in '63.
